The owner is always there, and she is so nice. Their tandoori chicken is great. I love the Tandoori shrimp. They can make most items from no heat to hot!! Great placd.

Not sure why but we had never heard of this Indian restaurant despite living so close to it. Also, it seems to be not so famous among Indians in Cincinnati. We discovered it accidentally when we were dining at a restaurant next to it. Anyways, to talk about the food itself, we were pleasantly surprised with the way dishes were made. Very different than regular north indian food you get in US. This was very flavorful, colorful and tasty. Service was good in general and menu has enough variety. I reduced one star because they misguided us on spice level that goes from 1 to 4. When we asked for Medium, we were told to go for 3, which turned out to be spicier than what medium means for Indian food. Besides that food was good. Very pleasent, very comfortable space. Friendly staff that made things feel like home. The menu was extensive with a variety of styles and choices. Very good selection of specifically veggitarian entrees (rather than normally carnivore dishes with out meat). Prices were good with good portion sizes. And finally!! I have been to Tandoor India countless times in the past 29 years. It was the first Indian restaurant I ever went to and have been to many others since, in California, Florida, and many of the newer places that have popped up in the Cincinnati area. I went there at least once a week for several periods in my life. My schedule doesn’t put me in the neighborhood regularly right now but it’s still worth the trip. And the best tandoori chicken I’ve ever had. And there’s some good stuff not on the menu. Ask for mushroom masala. The food is not super spicy on the buffet but if you order you can have it any way you like. I miss going weekly but appreciate it that much more when I do get to go. More...

Best authentic Indian food anywhere in the Cincinnati area! Delicious buffet with lots of variety, tandoori chicken is tender and juicy, channa masala, mushroom mater, cabbage, and dahl is so flavorful with perfect blends of spices, and hot naan fresh from the oven!
