We were very excited to try our first Indian restaurant since returning from S. Korea. Have to say we were disappointed that they didn't have meal sets for two prearranged to allow better sampling's of apps and sides. Lovely Indian place! After reading reviews of some Indian places we decided to give this place a try. We had the butter chicken and mixed tandoor. The mixed Tandoor was nice, but a bit on the dry side. Would give this dish 3 stars. However, the butter chicken was one of the best I have ever had!! We totally love Indian food and tried it all over the world, but this butter chicken curry was incredibly nicely flavored and spiced to perfection. So many fresh spices and allot of cashews as well! Yum! Would give it 5 stars, although the chicken could be a bit more tender. The aloo gobi was also very tasty, although a bit Americanized (4 starts). First time here and from the greeting to the door it was amazing. Kerrigan greatest us like we had been there 100 times and when she found it was our first time the suggestions and education was nonstop. It excited us. Our server and the whole team were flawless and the owner stopped by and had a seat. She is amazing as is her story. Fearless lady. Ok the food....everything that hit our table was fantastic! Two words. LUNCH. BUFFET. Tandoor has remained in my top 5 Indian restaurants for the past 5 or so years. The butter chicken is by far my favorite dish. If you're going to give Tandoor a try, I would definitely hit up the lunch buffet and not dinner. Dinner is good, but it's really expensive for not that much food. On the contrary, the lunch buffet is like twelve or thirteen bucks and you get to try a bunch of dishes and have as much as you want.
