Tamsin and Rachel worked with us for over 2 years through the planning, construction and then the designing of our new home. One or both of them were always available to meet with us or for us and they made us feel as if we were their main priority. If we were told along the way that something was not possible or couldn't be done, Tamsin and Rachel fought for us to make it happen. There was so much 'behind the scene' work done by them that we were not even aware of until after it was taken care of. Our style quickly became their style as they were so good at understanding our likes, dislikes, etc... Tamsin and her group are a class act. It's easy to find a designer when you want to throw them the reigns and a big budget. It's not always so easy to find a designer when you have your own strong opinions or a smaller budget. Tamsin helped my son find pieces to bring his "college" apartment up to speed as a "bachelor" apartment. He wanted to pick pieces that would have longevity towards the place he would eventually buy. She helped him change his furniture layout, met him at a store that was some distance away ( because it had the brand of furniture he wanted to purchase) to choose leather options. She made several recommendations incorporating them all on 2 different mood boards to help him see how it would all look together. While he didn't choose all her suggestions it helped him to find his style and make choices over time to make the place his. She didn't have any attitude when he selected items that were not at stores where she had accounts or connections. We hired Tamsin as a designer on a large kitchen, family room, breakfast area project. She designed a floor plan that worked perfectly for the space. There were several walls that came down to create the new space. Tamsin was always available to help when issues that came up with contractors and the design. I really liked that she helped pick out the fixtures to really tie the look together. I have recommended her to several friends and they really are happy with the professional service she provides.

My husband and I bought our home and desperately needed to renovate the outdated kitchen. We found Tamsin online and was really impressed with her style and feedback from her other clients. We called her to set up a consultation and immediately knew we wanted to work with her. Her style and taste were exactly what we were looking for, which was clean, classic, and functionally. She set us up with a few contractors to interview and asked to see some pictures of my dream kitchen and then from there was able to recommend everything. Tamsin saved us COUNTLESS hours of shopping and picking out everything, which was so wonderful since I over think every decision. She met us at the counter tops store with her paint samples in her bag and we were able to pick out everything (counters, backsplash, and paint) in no time at all. She did an excellent job picking out our lighting and faucet. It was so relaxing to let her pick out everything because she knows what she is doing and we trusted her taste without any reservation. We are about to start on our fourth project with Tamsin and are thrilled with the way everything else has turned out! Our first project was a family room make over then we did a complete 1400 square foot lower level with stacked stone fireplace, bar and wine closet. Our third project was adding lots of lighting (can lights, chandeliers and fixtures) to our main level. Can't wait to start on the next one which is a redo of a place at the lake.

Tamsin has a terrific eye and quickly learned how to incorporate our tastes with a great design style. There have been many times when she has brought samples for me to review and pick for a project and everyone one of them was perfect and I had a hard time choosing. She respects our budget and always had a variety of ideas and suggestions based on how much we have to spend on each area.

I had not done much with a designer before. Because doing renovations and buying furniture involves some expenses, I was so happy to have found Tamsin. I know each project will turn out looking better than I had imagined and it always reflects our style (while staying true to our budget). She works efficiently and is conscious of deadlines. I have my own business sewing custom window treatments, valances, pillows, etc. It has been a privilege to work with Tamsin for the past seven years. Seeking a designer for our new bar location I knew would be a challenge under our current circumstances. We had met with so many designers in our area but found disappointment when it came to their definition of elegance , warmth, and a romantic environment. Then I had an opportunity to meet the people at Tamsin Design Group. WOW! What a difference immediately. They verbally understand my vision as if I was not the only one. Took it and showed me samples and product to fit my every desire.
WOW again! There knowledge in the industry and actually being trained and educated in design was a huge sale for me. On top of the fact that the renderings and design plans came back "spot on". Most people "rant and rave" about whats not right with a situation. I promise I will "rant & rave" with what is right about this situation! The Tamsin Design group was hired to complete our kitchen remodel in our Victorian home, built in 1877. Tamsin was incredibly easy to work with; always professional and always listening. As a custom home builder, one of, if not the most important elements to the construction puzzle is the homeowner's designer. Tamsin and her team at Tamsin Design Group, absolutely knocked the ball out of the park on our project, not only for us as the builder, but also for the homeowner.

One of Tamsin's real strengths is her knowledge of the residential construction process. This is something that is rare among many designers but is so critical to a projects success.

Additionally, any home builder will tell you that three of the most important traits among a designer are that they are:
1) Responsive
2) Make themselves available for last minute meetings
3) Has the ability to communicate clearly with her clients so that decisions can be made quickly
Tamsin and her group excel at all three of these.

Simply put, PERFECT. I met Tamsin and her associate for the first time and in less then a 20 - 30 min. meeting the project was set. The expectations were high especially from my two teens, but as a single father, the key word was budget. I have used Tamsin for several projects at my house and I think that she is fantastic. She has a modern sensability (unlike my prior designer who was stuck in the Waverly era) and balances esthetic with functionality. She is flexible too - she will design an entire room and go shopping with you to pick things out or will even just hang pictures (in a cool grouping) or shelves on the wall if that is what you need. She has done amazing work for some friends as well. She is very easy to work with - she gets a sense of what you want, gives you a design, and then helps you through the process - letting you make the ultimate decisions but helping to guide you with thoughtful advice. ProSource of Fenton provided cabinets, counter tops, and backsplash through Tamsin Design Group for the clients' 100+ year old home. Tamsin was able to create a family friendly kitchen space while drawing on the homes original charms, such as the large windows and fireplace. I hired Tamsin Design Group on the recommendation of my realtor. We had just purchased a big, old house and a lot of my décor from my previous home just wouldn't be a good fit. I loved Tamsin and Jackie immediately, which was a good sign, and the whole process was wonderful. They were able to work with some pieces that I had and knew I wanted to keep, were able to design around a budget that was limited, and were able to tap into what we liked and find a style that fit the needs of our family perfectly. There were involved in every step of the process- from choosing window coverings to heading into the field to help choose carpet for stair runners, from going shopping with me to accessorize the rooms once the furniture was in, from answering a million emails and texts asking for an opinion of some treasure (or non-treasure!) that I found and wanted their opinions on.
