Closest thing to Italy without the trip to Naples.
Fast and delicious, it's a legit Italy Italian kinda pie. Buffalo pizza, it isn't (which is fine, they're two different animals in the vast pizza ecosystem).
Also. Try the olives. Olive oil, lemon peel, garlic and rosemary. Good stuff.

best neapolitan pizza in the Buffalo area that i have had. Sonny reds in lackawanna is good but the pizza is smaller. The sauce at Jay's is very fresh tasting, everything about the pizza was excellent. This is one of those places..... one of those I don't even want to review because it's so good I don't want it catching on for selfish pizza hoarding reasons. Let's start with the dough - a more perfect balance of chewy and crisp is impossible. His "finicky" (As Jay called it - sit at the bar area and watch the master at work) sour dough is balanced with salt and yeast, the perfect vehicle to carry the toppings. AND THE TOPPINGS! Nothing ordinary to be found here, it's all local and/or artisan. I'm usually a take it or leave it kind of person when it comes to pepperoni on an artisanal pizza, but Jays pepperoni breathes new crispy life into it for me. Also try anything with chili honey - the savory sweet combo is bomb. They now serve beer and a handful of accompaniments to go with your pie, and it's not a bad place to eat in. You can sit up against the big windows to Delaware and watch the adorable village of Kenmore going by. So, he's open until the dough sells out, and it usually does. Get there. More...

New to the Buffalo area, it was my first time visiting Jay's. I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of pizzas with fresh, in season toppings. Everything was prepared to order, by hand, and was out to our table within minutes. We had the Americano and Funghi pizzas, which were delicious. The staff was friendly, and to top it all off they had a great selection of wines that paired perfectly with the pizzas (we had Chard and Chianti), plus a great selection of local beer. Delicious! Jays was a wonderful change of pace from the traditional Buffalo pizza joint. We loved the crust! It was similar to a naan bread and the pizza flavors are carefully crafted to compliment. Finally tried Jays and we were very happy. Ordered three pizzas to go, and they were ready in under 20 minutes. The crust has a perfect “chew” but it’s not a crispy thin crust as many may think from the wood-fired oven. The Killer Bee was our favorite of the three we tried, followed closely by the Speck. The gorgonzola cheese was a little strong on the Amanda but still very tasty. They are bigger than they were on his truck so although I’d say order at least one per person, you’ll definitely have some leftovers! More...
