Placed an online order reached before they even started and asked them to let me eat there. Mind you they haven't even started the order yet.  The manager says it's not our policy. I said if you haven't started the food yet then what difference does it make. He refused to listen offering me paper plates to sit in the hotel lobby and eat. At that point why would I even sit in the lobby of theHotel and not take it back to my room. Lack of flexible  staff who cannot handle customer requests always ruin restaurant experiences. Instead of just canceling the online order and letting me sit he decided to use the company police line on me. I mean I understand if you had started making the food or it was packed. Table is a place I have been meaning to try each time I walk down Park Ave. Park Ave has many places you can choose to dine outside to enjoy the spanish moss, and cobbled street, and Tabla is no exception to this trend. To this end, the ambience is very date-like and romantic. The service was kind, though to the point. If you're like me and looking for vegan and vegetarian options, they have a quarter of the menu for your dietary restrictions or preferences. This is Park Ave, but I'll comment on the price-to-food ratio because it was kind of pricey for the entree sizes. It also was not totally mind blowing food so I could forgive the price. Was excited to try this place out but was not impressed. Red Thai Curry is one of my favorite dishes but it was not good here, unfortunately. The veggies were cut tiny and it lacked flavor and salt. My husband ordered the Butter Chicken and also thought it lacked salt and was "just okay". Portions were small for the prices. The inside of the restaurant had a very overwhelming smell of incense. The tale of two  seasons. In August 2021 we came here and it was wonderful HOWEVER we are not there anymore. This was a terrible experience.  The food was okay but the service was terrible.  Immediately it was bad too. The manager had to tell the server to get our drinks and she still took 10 minutes to get them. We ordered our food and we were rushed through our dinner and hurried out the door. Writing my first ever Yelp review because out of all the restaurants around the world I've been to, none of it is half as bad as this one. We've had the most amazing experience at the Winter Park establishment and thought we'd give this one a try after our Universal Trip, but wow. Absolutely horrible customer service. The table wasn't even made and we had to make it ourselves. For the price of the food? We had to wait 40 minutes to just be seated (by which I understand and is absolutely okay with). But 45 minutes before someone even came to talk to us I almost passed out a couple times and it took my table 4 times to get their attention to finally get our water, 1 hour after we were seated. We arrived at the restaurant at 9:30, it's now 11:30PM and our food is still nowhere to be seen. We had to do everything almost ourselves and it's absolutely unacceptable for the prices because we would've left if they just told us they couldn't serve us. We haven't yet received our food but no food could makeup for what we are experiencing and I've never had such a terrible experience at a restaurant. The manager seems like he didn't care, the mango lassi that we ordered that are usually pre made is not yet out after 1.5 hour just for him to tell us that, "oh we forgot we don't have the lassi". Food came out and it was cold. Missing so many items. The person taking our bill automatically added a tip for "service" to our table because we had a big party of 4. Almost everybody walked out but we paid anyway for the cold food we received. It's unacceptable that he kept trying to fight us for the 17% added tip for the "service" we never received. More...

THE MOST TERRIBLE SERVICE EVER!! We waited for good 45 mins and kept asking for water and menu. Someone next to our table shared their menu and had to get our own water. Everyone in the restaurant was frustrated and kept going to the kitchen to ask for menu, food, water and bill. Don't fall for the fake reviews here!! I never had such awful experience before. The worst ever service we have seen anywhere in the world ! Customers were deciding to not pay for the food and openly cheering anyone angry at the staff. I would have given a 0 star if I could. We had the worst service here EVER! I am writing this review while sitting in the restaurant and waiting for my food for almost an hour now. We weren't given a menu for a good 20 mins even after asking for it several times. Finally a table next to us gave us theirs as they were leaving. We weren't given any water and had to bring our own from car after 20 mins or so.At this point I just hope we get the food before end of the day.Finally got the food but the food is absolute rubbish and wayyyy overpriced!! Took forever for waiter to come to our table. Then once she came to table immediately asked what we wanted to eat. She didn't even ask about what we wanted to drink or bring water. We have eaten at over 100 Indian Restaurants all over the world, and this was a first. The appetizers were skimpy for the price. The main course tasted like it was straight off a buffet table. Not much taste. Would not recommend at their price point or anyone who wants authentic Indian Food. When we asked for to go containers, they were foam trays, and the bag was opened by their staff using their Saliva(In front of me-Yuk!) to top it off the foam container spilled all the sauce all over my wife's clothing in the middle of their so called restaurant. What struck me and my friend was the ambience in the beginning. We wanted to go fine dining that evening.  We ordered a mix of veg and non-veg food. Started with the appetizer gobi manchurian (spicy), and must say that the dish oozed adequate flavors of all vegetables (bell peppers, chillies, french beans). We asked for mint chutney and they were more than happy to offer it to team it with our appetizer.My friend ordered "Junglee Laal Maas" (goat) and she did mention that it was one of the best goat curries she had in the US. She loved the curry, goat pieces were properly cooked and curry was minting proportionate flavors of garlic, onion and tomatoes.Our host, Manali, did a perfect job of recommending dishes to us. Also, both Manali and Richard went above and beyond to get us something sweet after our dinner, since it was my birthday, on my friend's request.All in all, it was our first time to Tabla and we wish to come back if and when we visit Orlando again! Came here on a rainy Monday night. I've always had a desire to come here because it's always crowded whenever we pass by it. We were seated inside the restaurant. The decorations are a bit outdated and it felt damp inside. Our server was very nice and took our order as soon as we sat down. We ordered the chicken tikka masala and the beef and broccoli. Our food took 45 mins to come out of the kitchen -- which we didn't mind because that means it was made fresh. Both our dishes looked very appetizing, but once we dug into it... it was not as good as it should have been. Both dishes are salty and very skimpy on the meat. I don't think I'll ever come back here as my first choice, but definitely give it a try once. I've never seen a restaurant combined many Asian cuisines on one menu. More...

It's May be my experience. But I just warn you if you order online do not expect any alternatives or left out item price adjustment. I never go back here. Fooled by the reviews. A disappointed customer is not a pleasant sign when you wait for your food delivery. But if you are making two in a row that is an achievement for this super highly rated restaurant. There are many other good options. This restaurant left me HUNGRY, and also TOOK MONEY for the non delivered item. when reached through email not responded either. I'm decided this is a scam restaurant or I'm on a day when Everything went wrong. I Strongly believe it's a scam place as the rectification process never kicked off. Hello yelpers,My boyfriend and I are pretty big foodies and we are always down to try a new restaurant and we were even more excited to try this restaurant since it's in our area and the restaurant that previously occupied this space wasn't very good. The prices for this restaurant tend to run pretty high for the quality of the food. We got an appetizer that we didn't not like at all and then we got the noodles that tasted old, not warm, not seasoned and over all--bland. The service isn't much to rave about either our server wasn't eager to exchange our appetizer when we said we didn't like it but eventually did. The only reason I give this place two stars is because at least it looked decent but the lights were flickering for the first 20 mins we were there . Don't be fooled by the location of exterior, this is my favorite Indian in Orlando. Manali our server was super helpful and explained some dishes were not familiar with, one being the stuffed naan and oh boy are we happy we ordered that one. All of the food was delicious and the servings are plentiful. Great food.  I must eat gluten-free, and my server, Manali made great recommendations.  Some of the items on the "gluten-free" menu were not available (hence only four stars), so I was glad for her suggesting similar dishes. Manali hit a home run on both the main course and dessert.The lamb was tender and delicious.  My dish was listed as having "medium" spice.  It was a hot medium, fyi, just in case you're not into spicy foods - but the flavor was terrific. it has been several years since I had Yelp on my cell phone and have participated.  currently in Orlando for a week for job training. I have visited several restaurants and several stores, and some of them I would like to give some good reviews. for several years I have been thinking of chicken karma, something I have not had for several years.  This restaurant is across the street from my hotel. I stopped by today in order for the dish to go.  it did take some time to prepare, but being here alone I am in no hurry.Overall, everything was a positive experience and the food was quite tasty.  Was it worth the cost?  I really don't think so but I do expect to pay more here in Orlando.  if it came with some naan bread I might have given them a five-star.  again overall I believe I had a positive experience in would go back to this restaurant in the future. Really tasteless Indian food. Disclaimer: I don't like my Indian food with a lot of heat but I do love flavor. The Butter Chicken really disappointed. I had it earlier in the week at the kiosk in the Apna Bazaar and theirs was fab even though it wasn't spicy hot. Had Tabla's fried cauliflower with "Manchuria" sauce: the cauliflower florets were over battered and the sauce was an overly salty combination of something like ketchup, soy, and hoisin.I'll just have to keep working my way through the local Indian restaurants. I ordered take out. When I arrived, the woman at the door said something about her colleague handling the take out orders and asked me to wait for him. So...I waited. After about 15 minutes after the order was supposed to be ready; they tried to give me someone else's order. I told them it wasn't mine. I waited another 5-10 minutes (now a total of 20-25 minutes waiting) before one of the waiters from the restaurant came and asked me about my order. I showed him the confirmed order from Open Table on my phone. He said that they didn't have the order and that he would speak to someone. The first woman that I had originally spoken to came and asked to see the order. She said that due to "network issues" they didn't get my order. She hand wrote my order and brought it to the back. I waited another 5-10 minutes before she came back. She said that they were making my order and that it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. She asked me to wait in the lobby or outside! Dont be fooled by the generous reviews left here. I am an Indian and this by far the worst food I have ever had, We were there this past weekend and ordered their supposedly Indo chinese hakka noodles and Gen Tso's crispy tofu, instead what we got was Spaghetti with omelette sprinkled over and Tofu dipped with ketchup. Never had such a bad experience anywhere in Orlando or even entire Florida. The issue here mainly is , they don't care about the customers seated at the tables. They make you sit and keep you waiting. Once they take order, they take eternity to serve the food. Once you get the food, you are only served food. They forget to give you silverware or extra plate or napkins. In fact you cannot even call them by raising hand or signaling someone.No one cares. After long time someone comes.Now speaking of food, horrible is a less word to describe our experience. We tried to be little different than traditional ordering and we had to pay for that mistake. Took chat platter. Apart from pani puri rest all were trash. They tasted sour and very awkward. Next we ordered Tabla's chicken curry and onion kulcha. Onion kulcha seemed fine but that curry , it is dangerous. It is half cooked , no taste, just dumped with half cooked veggies like tomato and some water and half cooked chicken pieces.They my pathetic brain wanted to try out a so called "new" item Tabla's indo-Chinese biryani with chicken dumplings. The description of the item in the menu says chicken dumplings , aromatic basmati with indo-Chinese style. Now just go look at the picture of it here. Yes it is filled with noodles and could barely find any basmati rice in it. The so called chicken dumplings are just deep fried ground chicken that tasted like just vinegar(horrible). I couldn't even eat more than two spoons and had to call my server to take it back and just cancel it. He took an eternal time to come back and say sorry and removing it from bill. Please please please stay away from that item Indo-Chinese biryani. Firstly the description is highly misleading and dangerous and secondly whatever you get , the food tastes very bad, not even adjustable. Just see the picture and say if it sounds anywhere near like biryani. I ordered online. Went to pick up my food. Waited and waited and waited some more...past my pick up time. Restaurant was not busy. Asked if I can get the drink I ordered while I wait. They said they would look into it. Waited...waited. My food comes out but there is no drink. They say the drink is not availableThen when I get visibly irritated I get told they will make it for me. Upscale Indian restaurant serving traditional Indian cuisine. They have a very extensive menu and even includes Chinese and Thai options. I quite enjoyed my Chicken Tikka as the chicken was extremely tender and flavorful. It came in a big skillet with onions and peppers. Delicious!
