The team at TRIM brought my idea for a memory app called Soulments to life in such a beautiful and functional way. I am a solo, non-tech founder who greatly benefited from my partnership with TRIM. They bring tremendous insight to the ever changing world of tech and brought the overall design and features of Soulments to levels I couldn't have envisioned on my own. Their highly talented developer and UX/UI team work together to make magic happen! More...

Technology is tough. And when you’re trying to create something with very little knowledge of the industry it can be a daunting task. Developing apps is complicated. Throw in the fact the Trim team has to bring an element of creativity to the design aspect and make it fit what the client has in mind and they are basically trying to climb Mount Everest. I have enjoyed having the team at Trim to guide me up the mountain. Sure there are times when I’ve been confused but I accept responsibility for my ignorance and cling to their team to walk me through the technical aspects. There are times in the process where they did something that I did not like creatively. But they’re starting in the dark and I understand they’ll need my feedback in order to move in the right direction. Again this is all a normal part of the process. And let’s be honest these things, if done well, are not cheap. Sure, your nephew who lives on your sisters couch may know how to survive Fortnight until the end and he may tell you he can build you an app. He can’t. Take it from me, when it comes to technology you must invest what you hope to get. If you’re cheap and you’re looking for cheap clients it’s OK to get cheap work. But if you’re looking to really grow your business and find that innovation and technology are imperative to your success hire Trim. Also note, as they work on your project you may find you want to add things or take things away. This will change the cost on the project. Time is money and whether you are adding an element or taking one away, it takes time for them to do the work. You should expect to pay for that work. They say men are from Mars and women are from Venus. I think it’s the same for technical designers and the rest of the world. It’s hard to be in their shoes when people like me aren’t sure how to explain what we want. It’s hard for them to work with someone who has creative ideas but doesn’t understand what it takes to technically bring those ideas to life. I’ve been very pleased with my experience with Trim. Everything was in writing and explained to me upfront. Their contract is rather straightforward and explains their process nicely. They have kept me in the loop every step of the way. I highly recommend them but would also recommend you do your homework. Make sure you understand what you want and try to create a basic wire frame on paper or in a diagram to explain what you are wanting your app to do. It doesn’t have to be fancy but it’s best to have a starting point you can look at visually. This isn’t required as they’ll help you figure that out if you’re not sure. But it’s only fair that you would pay them for that step. Finally I would like to say I am comfortable enough to refer my clients to them. It’s not something I do often especially with big ticket items. I don’t lose any sleep at night because I know everybody at Trim will take care of my clients the same way they take care of me. If you need any type of development you can stop looking. This is your team. More...

I have nothing but amazing things to say about TRIM! I hired them to help develop a web app and they were by-far the best choice. I have worked with other teams in the past but the team at TRIM went above and beyond my expectations. I knew exactly what was happening on my project week to week and I had full access to their team while we were building the app. We have validated the early concept and are now continuing with the next version. If you need a custom app built I wouldn’t recommend anyone other than TRIM. More...
