It’s been a few months since our installation and with the recent storms we’ve had the past several weeks thought It’s a good time to update the review. Our synthetic turf from SYNLawn Chesapeake Bay has been a game changer for us. We were fortunate not to have significant tree damage from the storms and within a few minutes of their ending (and clearing some minor debris) were enjoying the backyard and playing with our dog. Prior to installation of our new synthetic turf our yard would’ve been unusable and a mess for several days with these types of storms. Beyond the aesthetic beauty of our new turf, the enhanced utilization it’s brought to our yard has been even more impressive. The benefit of having the new turf has exceeded our expectation. The original review continues below: First and foremost SYNLawn Chesapeake Bay is a very well run company. This was apparent throughout our process - from initial contact to the onsite visit to the job estimate to the job installation and through project completion checkout and payment. For our residential backyard project (approximately 1000 ft.²), being comfortable with these milestones was really important and all involved staff were knowledgeable, friendly and customer centric. Their website and mission statement certainly indicated this would be the case and they clearly walked the talk. Our situation was a relatively small backyard and between the tree canopy and playing fetch with our small dog our lawn was pretty much a mess and a muddy mess after rain and during the winter. We had SYNBlue 949 installed and the result was beautiful - best of all it will remain beautiful into the future with minimal effort. This was a significant investment and for anyone considering it given all that needs to be done from materials to needed equipment to depth of company personnel - it’s prudent to use a company totally dedicated to synthetic turf installation for insuring a great result. This is our first synthetic turf experience and SYNLawn Chesapeake Bay did a fantastic job! They helped us with the design around our pool, and made sure every detail was addressed. After installation they came back to revise a part of the pool deck that we wanted to be altered and they perfected it. The dog LOVES it, and it looks amazing. Best choice ever! We have worked with SYNLawn Chesapeake Bay on both of our townhouses. We had a much smaller yard in our first house and with big dogs could not grow grass. Upon moving into our new house, it quickly became apparent that we were going to have the same issue with growing grass. While it is an investment, it is so worth it! No mud coming in the house, kid and pet friendly. We have 2 dogs and they have run back and forth for the last two years and the turf is still in excellent condition. Kaitlyn and her team are super responsive and it's not just for the sale, she has continued to be responsive to any questions or concerns we have had after both installations. Just had artificial turf installed by SYNLawn Chesapeake Bay, and holy moly do I love my backyard now. A few days ago, my backyard was an awful mix of grass and dirt/mud. I have three huskies who love to be outside but would tear up the grass and/or trek their muddy (but cute) paws into the house. Not anymore. I'm so happy with how this turned out and I (and the dogs) cannot wait to enjoy it. From Emily on the Sales Team to the consultant who did the measurements/overview (forgot his name) to Julio and the rest of the installation team, everyone that I worked with at SYNLawn was exceptional, prompt, and thorough. For the dog owners reading this, you may be questioning the investment, quality, etc. It's worth it 100%. I was back and forth but glad I committed. If you qualify, they do offer great financing options which is the route I took. I went with the SYNAUGUSTINE x47 product. I plan to update this review in a few months to help my fellow dog owners understand the maintenance side of things. I still don't know how easy it will be to blow/clean the dog hair out of the grass, if there is a smell from letting the dogs potty on it, how it holds up, etc. Only thing I can confirm is the turf does feel warmer to touch than regular grass (expected after my initial research) so just plan to accommodate for that. I'm planning to install a sunshade that can be purchased off Amazon. Either way my huskies still lay in the sun while on the turf. More...

SynLawn Chesapeake Bay’s product and customer service are outstanding – we HIGHLY recommend them. We had them install Augustine347 in our back yard in November 2020. It was an amazing experience from the initial inspection and quotation to the final installation of the lawn. We use our back yard a lot for entertaining and exercising our two large dogs. Our yard is comprised of a flagstone patio, garden area, and lawn – however we could never get grass to grow since the area is very shaded, prone to flooding, and had two storm drains creating run-off and further thwarting our grass-growing attempts. It was usually a muddy, weedy mess unsuitable for any type of use. During our initial inspection, SynLawn listened carefully to our issues and desires, ultimately making recommendations which perfectly suited our needs and solved our flooding and drainage problems (they kept the storm drains intact and laid the lawn over it, disguising the eyesores yet preserving their functionality). On the day of installation, they arrived on time, worked efficiently while patiently answering our myriad questions, completed the very complex job exactly as described, and thoroughly cleaned up. We have rarely experienced such top- notch customer service. The synthetic lawn immediately expanded the beauty and utility of our back yard and provided our dogs with more running space. Whereas the lawn area used to be a space we avoided, it is now the space we gravitate to. The Augustine347 product is a superior and durable product, ideal for dogs and resilient to environmental hazards. Recently, a 30-foot thousand-pound tree limb dropped straight down on our lawn from forty feet high, covering the entire area. After we got it all cleaned up, we were astounded to find only a two-foot long depression and a four-inch tear at the site of initial impact. While we were dismayed by this damage to our beautiful lawn, we were amazed by the minimal damage considering the size of the limb and the height from which it fell. This is true testament to the high quality of the product and the expertise of the installers. Even more amazing is that SynLawn was able to repair the damaged area and restore it so it looks good as new. More...

Our backyard grass could no longer keep up with our two amazing 60lbs+ pups. To help keep our pups clean in good and bad weather, and save our furniture and house from destruction, we researched many companies that install synthetic grass but was most impressed with our locally owned small business, SYNLawn Chesapeake Bay. Emily patiently answered all of our questions, provided fast and competitive pricing and the install crew (Alfredo and team) took incredible care to protect our surrounding pavers, pool and furniture. We have a small row house with a backyard in DC and tried EVERYTHING to grow grass, but with a big tree and lots of shade, it just wasn't in the cards. We wanted something that looked natural (not like rolled out carpet), was usable for us and our dog, wouldn't smell, and was durable - SYNLawn delivered all of that! Delivery only took a day and was really very clean and professional, especially given how much work this takes. We've had our lawn for about 6 months and it still looks like day 1 despite number dog parties. It is definitely an investment, but after 2 years of not being able to use our lawn and a few thousand wasted on trying to grow grass, this is well worth it! It's also much, much better for the environment without having to use all that water on trying to grow and maintain grass and as an added benefit we don't need to store a bunch of lawncare tools now! SYNLawn did an amazing job with our outside space. The product is beautiful, and their customer service is excellent. During the initial evaluation Hector gave us some great ideas that we hadn't originally thought of, and the team doing the installation was great to work with. I was really impressed by how quickly they completed the job and how much they cleaned up after themselves and put all our furniture back exactly how it was. Our outdoor space (in a townhome) is also not easy to access - the team had to go through our neighbors backyard in order to get to our space - but SYNLawn was accommodating and very respectful of our neighbor's space as well.
