I decided on ordering my birthday cake from here after seeing 7 out of 7 five star reviews here. Â The other reviews do not disappoint! Â The cake was AMAZING. Â I ordered an 8" vanilla cake with American buttercream and cannoli filling. Â I then requested the top to be filled with pastel tones of flowers. Â On the day of pickup (yesterday), the cake was ready and exactly as requested. Â Granted, the cake was a bit pricey, but then again, I also did not inquire the price prior to ordering. Â The quality is there, so in the end, the price didn't really matter. Â Also, the cake seemed huge for 8 inches! Â Those working (I'm assuming one was the owner as she was there both times I came in) were super friendly and welcoming.I would totally recommend this adorable bake shop to anyone looking to have something made for a great occasion, clearly with love and quality ingredients. Thank you guys for the most delicious chocolate cake! It was so good that I had a piece for breakfast, whoops! The staff were so friendly, I can't wait for the next birthday coming up to order another one! I wish I got a picture before we ate it .... but when a cake is that good there's no time for phones. Incredibly good and suprisingly affordable. This little bakery right on the Branford Green is an essential stop on any trip to the center of Branford. Awesome cakes for a party or event as well as plenty of smaller treats to cap off dinner or a fun day on the green. I love visiting this cute bakery now and then for a fluffy cupcake! They have so many snack options that they rotate through daily, and things get even better if you make a special order. I got a custom order for my birthday cake last year and was not disappointed. They made exactly what I wanted, and everyone at the party loved it. First of all, I'm thrilled that Branford has a bakery on Main Street again! I grew up with Castallons, which burned down years ago, and there's been a void ever since. I now live in San Francisco, but my dad is turning 80 tomorrow. Today was his big family party, and I needed a cake to wow the crowd.Sweets on Main did not disappoint! I called and asked if they could help me design the perfect chocolate cake. My dad could only have a little piece due to diet restrictions, and I wanted that little piece to be the best chocolate cake he ever had. The cake was not only absolutely gorgeous, but DELICIOUS!!!!! This was a stand out cake, and I've tried a lot of chocolate cakes, as I'm a wedding photographer. The whole family raved about the flavor, and everyone wanted an extra piece to take home across three states.They have a nice menu with lots of flavor options. I love this sweet spot!! There is always such an incredible variety of treats-quiche, macaroons, cupcakes, ice cream cookie sandwiches, just depends on the day! Great new bakery in Branford, right across from the green! Â Homemade cupcakes, cookies, brownies, scones and more. Â They also make cakes and quiche, which we haven't tried (yet). Impressive inventory for a relatively small operation. Â Cute little storefront with a few tables & chairs if you'd like to stay, or pick up your order to go. Ordered a Cannoli cake from here and I am so impressed by this new bakery in town. First of all the owner was so friendly and welcoming and made ordering so easy. Even when I went to pick up the cake she was so pleasant with all of the customers. The cake itself was so delicious and light. You could taste the Cannoli but it wasn't overly packed with sugar like most Cannoli cakes. She definitely uses good ingredients because I've never had a cake that's tasted so fresh before.
