These mini cupcakes are heavenly! So soft and tasty- simply delicious. I ordered about 60 of them (Red Velvet, Carrot, Grass Hopper Mint, Pistachio, Salted Caramel, Blackeyed-Susan, Coconut Buttercream, Cookies & Cream, vegan vanilla and vegan chocolate) for a work party I was hosting and guests just LOVED them! ! Beautifully designed sweet shop that resembles by gone era soda fointain. All sorts of delictables out on display from cupcakes in the front to jars of hard candy near the back. The baked goods are made on the premises in an adjacent kitchen you can see through windows across from the counter service.Friendly staff rounds out the experience. Best cupcakes in Charlottesville, or anywhere really. The frostings have real ingredients and are out of this world, and the cake part is impeccable. They aren't precisely a made-to-order place, but they often are at least frosted-to order, and they can often customize (leave the chocolate of the salt-caramel e.g.). The roomy interior is furnished with a tasteful mishmash of chairs, tables, and sofas, from shabby-chic to antique to oddball, achieving a welcoming, relaxed vibe. I didn't have the pleasure of going into Sweethaus, but I wanted to share my amazing experience regardless. My boyfriend stopped here as we were on a walk through Brooklyn on the sixth night of our NYC trip. We had tried A LOT of baked goods in the city already. When we reached the East River, he popped open the Sweethaus cupcake box and inside was an engagement ring for me - plus an amazing Cookie Dough Cupcake. I am a total cake snob and this cupcake was absolutely perfect (even without a surprise, sweet proposal). I had a cake I wanted saved in my phone for 2 years, and was so glad I chose Sweethaus to make my dream cake for my birthday this year! They were very pleasant and easy to work with. When I picked up my cake, I was blown away by how well they executed the image/design. It was breath taking!!! I fell in love with the pistachio cake that they suggested as well! We love Sweethaus! I am a mom of three little ones and it is the perfect spot to come a grab a cupcake for the kids and a coffee for me and let them play for an hour or so! I appreciate that they have updated the kids section and there are toys appropriate for my 4, 2, and 1 year old!
