We were planning our Charleston wedding from Atlanta, so we did a lot of research and conducted a lot of interviews to pick the right wedding planner for us, but immediately after we hung up the phone with Jacqueline, we knew right away that we wanted to work with her! When your guest tell you, this is the nicest Bridal Luncheon they have ever attended, (and this group of ladies have attended many! ) you know you hit a home run with your event planner. Jacqueline, was outstanding and very patient with me and my zillions of questions. Her ideas were perfect. One of the bridesmaids even said the invitation was the most beautiful she had ever gotten. I worked with Jacqueline for my September wedding, and I could not have been happier with her as our planner! I am a pretty organized and detail-oriented person, but I knew that I wanted to have some help with the details (lighting, design, timeline, floral etc. ) that I didn't have experience with. Jacqueline and Meredith are the best you can ask for when it comes to a wedding planner! Whether small or large, my questions were always answered and no detail was forgotten! When I told my dad that our day would just not work without Jacqueline's help, he definitely needed convincing as to why we needed a coordinator. We are a husband and wife photography team here in Charleston and we had the pleasure of working with the fun & classy ladies from Sweetgrass Social two nights in a row! Meredith Tanton with Sweetgrass Social held my hand every step of the way through the planning and execution of the rehearsal dinner for my son and his bride, held at Charleston Distilling Co. in downtown Charleston, SC, on June 26, 2015. She arranged all rentals -- tables, chairs, linens, china, lighting, sound, etc. -- and oversaw every detail of the planning. She supervised every element of a complicated setup, including hanging of multiple crystal chandeliers, in a very short window of time. The venue is fairly new and has not gotten all the kinks out of their process yet, which presented some challenges for Sweetgrass, but Meredith handled all with aplomb without worrying me. First and foremost, book these girls STAT! Time and time again I was impressed with Jacqueline! I'm a girl who has no creativity or vision, I see pictures and say "do this", and Jacqueline got it! I trusted her to bring to life a dream that I couldn't even put into words and she nailed it! She had patience with me through the whole 2 year process, which included a major bump in the road, when I say bump, I mean literally, a baby bump. She handled it with ease (better than me), I was freaking out that I had to postpone our wedding and she calmed me, then forged forward making all the calls and arrangements to have the wedding rescheduled. After the birth of our son, we hooked back up to finish the details. With a newborn at home taking up a lot of my time it was nice knowing she was taking care of EVERYTHING! She got everything in order and when the week of our wedding arrived, I was taking care of me, nails, hair, makeup, etc, never once did I have to worry about the wedding or rehearsal! From the welcome boxes being delivered to guests upon arrival to the last petal thrown as we made our getaway, she didn't miss one single detail! By far the best decision I made in planning this wedding! Even when the rain kept falling on our wedding day she kept me calm and reassured me it would still be perfect. She wasn't lying. We were unable to wed under my dreamt of oak tree, but the space she created for me was just as incredible. It really was magical under that tent and all the Sweetgrass girls were unbelievably attentive! Anything I needed or a guest, they were on top of it! In the midst of the wedding planning process, I became very overwhelmed, as I didn't have much help up to that point. I had not planned on hiring a wedding coordinator, but I soon broke down and began the search. I have a good amount of friends in the wedding business, and no joke, Sweetgrass Social came highly recommended by all of them. We set up a consultation and I knew right away they were the ones I should book. Their help came towards the end of the planning process, but the fact that everyone rallied onboard to make sure my wedding went off well was so encouraging! I did a DIY wedding and hired Sweetgrass Social to help with the day of the wedding to make everything run smoothly. They did an amazing job and gave me the stress-free wedding of my dreams. Jacqueline made sure all my vendors were where they were supposed to be and ensured that all my contracts were in order. She and her assistant set up the reception with the centerpieces I made, and it looked even more beautiful than I could have hoped for. She came to the rehearsal and then the entire wedding day from setup until we cut the cake. They even moved 100 chairs from our beach wedding ceremony to under the tent for the reception. She provided a few extra items like signs and a display rack for the escort cards, and had great suggestions for layout. She even provided an emergency bride kit, out of which I borrowed some double stick tape and superglue (yikes last minute broken nail!).
