Kate was amazing! The best part is that SHE WILL COME TO YOUR HOUSE! She set up everything in our sunroom and we were ready to go, making it easy on my toddler who can sometimes be shy in new places.
She brought multiple backdrops and we even took pictures outside, which I am dying to see!!
Thank you so much Kate. I can't wait to do family photos in the fall!

I was always hesitant on doing a newborn shoot- did it really matter? I take tons of picture everyday of my little guy, so why do I need someone else to do it.
Clearly, I was wrong on so many levels. I'm so glad I had Kate take his pictures. She came to our home (making things easy on me) and has the best props. My son was a little over 2 weeks so he was no longer in the 'sleep all day' phase. It was a bit of a challenge getting him to calm but Kate was amazing with him- I trusted her completely. She is a mom to an amazing little girl and her maternal instinct was spot on in knowing what to do to make Cameron calm.
When we did the lifestyle pictures, she truly captured the spirit and personality of our little man. The shots she took of my husband and Cam make my heart soar- you can see the bond they have already! She also agreed to take a few pictures of us with his bassinet- which is a family heirloom and has been passed down through now 4 generations (my grandmother 81 years ago, her children, my generation, and now our children). Those will be pictures I will treasure forever and my grandmother even shed a tear when she saw them.
His staged shots were amazing- a little lamb, a little bear and wraps that matched the accent colors in his nursery- she really thought of everything to make it as personal as possible.
From start to finish, the mood was easy and we were laughing and in great spirits. I could never have gotten the pictures she was able to take- from the poses to the lighting and shadowing- all just amazing!!
Reviewing our images was so easy as well! Kate had them to us in just a few days and the images she sent are PERFECTION! I still can't choose a favorite!
I would highly recommend Kate for your next photo shoot- the magic will be there in every click of the lens and you will have moments in time captured forever. I know we will be honored and excited to use her talents for our next milestones with our son.

A friend had shared Sweetest Things Photography page with me. Kate was offering a special promotion and my daughter was lucky enough to have been chosen for a sitter session. My where we so lucky! It was a pleasure opening our home to Kate she came with high spirits plenty of smiles , and we sang a pretty awesome duet to get Madelin happily looking right at the camera. I can’t speak highly enough of Kate and her amazing work! We had a booked a mini session at the tulip field for a maternity photo shoot. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to have photos taken at the tulip farm. She worked with us to find a new location for the photos and went out of her way to ensure we took the photos before the baby arrived! I wasn't sure if a newborn shoot was the way to go, since our baby would already be passed the magic "two week window" that most photographers talk about for a newborn shoot.
However after reaching out to Kate and asking if she would be comfortable with a wiggly 3.5 week old, I knew I wanted to give it a try. We are so glad we went with Kate to capture this special time. Our baby was a bit cranky to start the session and she didn't want to sleep a wink during the shoot, but that didn't stop Kate from capturing amazing pictures. She was so patient with our little girl and was able to calm her down effortlessly. We are looking forward to seeing the rest of the pictures and will definitely be recommending Kate to family and friends in the future!

We just received our photo gallery and I feel the need to add to my review. We are absolutely in LOVE with the results. We received the gallery in less than a week and each and every picture came out great. Kate was able to capture the love our family has perfectly. I couldn't have asked for better results. We will continue to use Kate in the future!

I was shared the Sweetest Things FB page by my sister, who fell in love with the images she saw here, as did I. I noticed Kate was running a promotion of sorts, so we tossed our hat in the ring and were fortunate enough to end up with a session for a Milk Bath shoot! Kate arrived with EVERYTHING she needed to set up for a beautiful backdrop and knew exactly what she was doing. She is so friendly and talented, and was so patient with our little girl. She captured amazing photos, was a true delight to work with and I can't wait to capture more of our kiddos moments with her! I have been waiting a long time to have our daughter’s pictures done. She was a 24 week premie who spent a lot of time in hospitals and we were never able to get her baby pictures done. Kate did such a wonderful job of working with her where she is at, making accommodations to not use flash with her sensitive eyes, and captured the joy that pours forth from her, that we don’t always get to see. We had an absolutely amazing expirence from start to finish! Due to weather, we had to reschedule our original shoot. Kate made sure to offer us many options for the reschedule. On the day of our photo shoot, Kate made sure everything was perfect and went above and beyond to create a great expirence for us. Having many life events these days - it was my boy’s first birthday and we are expecting our girl in 3 weeks. My husband and I wanted to record this moment so we planned to have a professional photo session but it requires all different set changes. Transitioning from indoor casual maternity/family session to outdoor shoot and two different bday settings- All these session combination could be chaotic! Kate is such a talented and beautiful person! She did photos of my daughter and I, and though my daughter was less than cooperative, she managed to capture gorgeous images. On top of that, she was recording videos at the SAME TIME!! Little did I know of the amazing, and emotion filled video that she would send to me also! Kate is a true professional! She made the trek all the way out to our house and exceeded our expectations! Kate was absolutely amazing to work with. She accommodated our needs, incorporated all the props I wanted, and was so gentle and kind with Nolan. We had a great experience with Sweetest Things Photography! I contacted Kate for a mini session at Wicked Tulips. I was hesitant to make the drive with my 14 month old for a 20 minute session but after we discussed it, Kate had me convinced it would be worth it. She was right! We had to reschedule twice due to weather and didn't make it to the tulip farm until it's last day, but she was still able to accommodate us and took beautiful photos despite some raindrops. Kate is amazing at what she does and amazing to work with! she was extremely flexible with booking our last minute session around my crazy schedule. She did my 1 year old Sammy's doughnut smash pictures. She managed to get my very serious lady to laugh and smile, pictures came out great and I'm obsessed with them all.
