We had 3 children with us and getting them to decide on just one place was very difficult. It was kind of a day for them so we had to be careful that all 3 would enjoy it. Sweet Treats Bakery was a random choice -as we were on our way to another restaurant in Lexington. But - it was obviously meant to be! The owner/baker/cook was amazing from the moment we walked in. He was great with the kids which made me a pushover for him since I'm the grandmother. But honestly he took such great care of us and that alone was worth 5 stars. But no, I'm not stopping there. This place allows dogs inside, has their free wifi displayed, and makes some killer sandwiches. Service tends to be a bit slow but the food is worth the wait and staff are welcoming and friendly.

They provided the cake from my sister's wedding  and it was great. They were able to even provide us with a green tea flavor cake on my sister's request. Also had the rehearsal dinner here with a 30+ party and the food was great. Highly commend even for a regular breakfest or lunch visit, becuase every time re visited over the years preping for the wedding we were always satisfied. Their pork and rice was on point! More...

Sweet Treats is a definitely Lexington's sweet treat. I had only ever come here for the cannolis when I craved something fast and sweet. I came here for breakfast and I really enjoyed the $4 breakfast sandwich, which is egg and bacon on a croissant. The egg was fluffy and the croissant was soft and flakey. The staff was very friendly, as they checked up on me often and even helped me pour hot water for my tea at the drink bar. There is a good selection of sweets here, ranging from cookies to cannolis and yummy looking pies. Will definitely try one of the pies next time I come! I use to come here all the time as a cadet. Their food is amazing and so are the treats. My roommates and I would come here for breakfast and order absurd amounts of food for unbeatable prices. We're locals, and this is our go-to breakfast stop. The omelettes and breakfast sandwiches are delicious. The food is always reliable and reasonably priced. Most of the restaurants in Lexington are hit-or-miss, but we can always count on Sweet Treats. The owners and staff are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and easy-going. When we have extra time or a slow-down Sunday, Sweet Treats is a great place to relax and enjoy good company. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the THE BAKED GOODS! Happen to strolled upon the PERFECT place! We had our doggo with us and needed a bite to eat when we found Sweet Treat's "Dogs are welcome, humans are tolerated" street sign! Excellent! Yum! Stopped in while walking in downtown Lexington, and so happy we did! The man behind the counter was so friendly and helpful-my daughter and I couldn't decide what  to get and he was so patient and kind! Ended up with baklava for her, and a triple berry tart for me. She said the baklava was delicious, and I loved my berry tart! So good, with plenty of fresh berries and a nice thick crust--yummy!! Can't wait to come back when we bring her in the fall for college! Today we stopped in for lunch at Sweet Treats Bakery with our two dogs. This was the most dog friendly restaurant I've ever been to. Leashed and well-behaved dogs are allowed to enter the dining area. There is also an outside patio area if you prefer to be outside with Fido or if you have a less friendly dog. The associates welcomed both of our dogs and brought out water for them. We dined inside with our dogs and the waitress paid plenty of attention to them. Very welcoming. The food was delicious. I had the mushroom Swiss burger and my husband and daughter had the Jamaican Special. They have gluten-free options as well. Oh my freakin heck! This place rocks! Don’t let the “Bakery” name fool you they make the best Hamburgers in Virginia! I just had a bacon cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese and jalapeño that was “slap yo mama” good! The burger patty is almost an inch thick and so flavorable and priced at the same price as inferior burgers. Do yourself a favor and eat here for breakfast and lunch. What a wonderful organic cafe in the middle of a wonderful town. Small portions but delicious, not properly cooked toast, but have gluten free toast which is a rare sight along these ways so I'm happy.

This place has some great food!I got a breakfast item, which they serve all day, and it was very tasty. Eggs cooked to order, bacon, pancakes, etc. I have also tried there sandwiches, chicken tenders, and a few other items. I have liked them all and I would highly recommend this restaurant.Additionally the atmosphere is really quite nice.
