Wow.. first visit and wont be my last . Ordered the potato soup and didnt care for the flavor, and they immediately took my bowl away and the owner came to speak with me to see how he could help. He offered me samples of the broccoli and the Green chili chicken.. The broccoli was great, but the Green chili chicken was AMAZING and the one he had suggested..Wow, if its available next time it's going to be my goto soup here..Thanks again to the owner for all his help.. I frequently go to Sweet Temptations after a standing appointment on Wednesdays. My regular choice is one of the excellent, very large quiche. All quiche variations are excellent but my favorite is the spinach/sausage or bacon. I usually have to wait since I get there right at noon or 12:30 pm their busiest times. It tries to be a quaint, little tea house, and it mostly succeeds. Their soups, salads, and quiche are tasty. They have traditional fare as well- sandwiches, pasta, some Mexican dishes, breakfast, and burgers. They have multiple desserts to devour. I love that that there's a place in town that serves quiche! I have gone to this restaurant a few times and even waited in line to get inside, but it was well worth it. The food is awesome. Home style food and warm and cozy atmosphere. Loved the soups, salads and sandwiches. All freshly made and the taste is yummy! The service by the staff is the best I've experienced. Went for breakfast and enjoyed the best Migas I have ever had. The restaurant has a great setting and the atmosphere is great. The wait staff did a great job of recommending certain items. The waiter was professional and very attentive during our visit. Again, the quality of the food, taste and presentation was the best I have seen in the Rio Grande Valley.
