Decide needed sugar before heading out of town! Lots to choose from , everything always looks yummy . Cupcakes $3.50-$3. 75 seems like they get smaller every year an prices get higher . Slice cake $6 good size for it. Once you get in line your ask right away what you need , which is great , but if you want to wait an take your time an decided which one you want to choose, they seem to loose patient . Wasn't sure what to get someone else , had to make a call to find out!An an older lady ( not sure owner or manager ) ask again what I wanted while I was making the call , told her I'm double checking on the flavors of the cupcakes I need , she look annoyed that I was taking her time . Keep in mind there was only 2 other people there , there was 4 employees behind the counter. I'm guessing you have to know what you want before heading in the place.The other girl that help me , she was really nice an seems to have patience. The place is super cute , the set up is adorable. Best pastries and baked goods, My favorites are the lemon bars ,red velvet and pink champagne cupcakes my husbands a sucker for the coconut cupcakes and he hates sweets so that says a lot. The Matterhorn cake is Devine I've tried the ever so popular Sprinkles, which were good but Sweet Surrender takes the cake (no pun intended. Lol). Their sweets are fantastic here -- always fresh and delicious. The one thing I don't like about it is the pricing. Not just how expensive it is, but they don't tell you about add-ons. In my most recent visit, they doubled the price of a cupcake (from $3.5 to $7) because I accepted their offer of putting it in a nice cardboard box. They didn't let me know that it would cost at all. I only noticed once I left and took a look at the receipt I found it pretty upsetting and will make sure to double check for ad-on prices and encourage all to do the same. More...

So delicious but a bit expensive. 7 cupcakes came out to be about 29.00. That's a bit much for my taste but that's why I only visit once in a while. Red velvet and pink champagne are definitely the winners here. Of all the bakeries in Bakersfield this place is winning in those 2 flavors. They do offer gluton free options which is outstanding. Today there were gluton free cupcakes, and cookies, its so nice to be able to be able to surprise my daughter with a bakery item when she is not usually able to have anything from one.
