I can't say enough good things about my experience ordering cakes here. First off, she completed a last minute smash cake for my son. I was so grateful she made it happen for our photoshoot. Then I contacted her again to do a cake for his first birthday. She was very accommodating with the design and my ideas, and it was everything I had hoped for and more. Wow! Laurice is an amazing baker! Our nurse retirement chocolate cake with espresso cream filling was a huge hit. So were the lemon gluten free cake pops and chocolate covered strawberries. Laurice creates cakes that taste even better than they look. She's an old school scratch baker who has perfected her recipes. As a decorator she can bring your vision to life, or if you're uncreative like me, she'll talk with you to get your input for a wonderful design. We don't wait for special occasions to get cakes from Laurice. Her superb baking even with simple finishing helps to make a family dinner even more memorable. My mother and grandmother were fantastic scratch bakers and Laurice is the only baker I've ever found who could exceed their delights. This is a long overdue review for Laurice and Sweet Moments. My daughter and I have ordered 3 cakes from this baker over the last year and they have all been amazing! Her eye for detail is incomparable and the details are always spot on! To top it off, her prices are some of the best. The latest creation from Laurice was a luau pig for my granddaughter's first birthday and the cake was a HUGE hit with everyone. Also the coconut pudding between layers was so good! Laurice is easy to work with in fact the first cake I ordered was done completely over email and I couldn't have been happier with the results. Wow - talk about customer service!! Â I don't live in California but my niece does and when her father passed away unexpectedly, I wanted to send something to their house. Â Comfort food, if you will.... Â Anyway, Laurice responded to my text immediately one late afternoon (about 30 minutes before closing) and by noon the next day she delivered some goodies to their house. Â Unfortunately I didn't get to taste anything, but I understand from my niece's family that everything was delicious. Â Ordering, paying and dealing with Laurice was a breeze and I appreciate it. Laurice has outdone herself again! I ordered another cake from her for my other daughter's birthday party along with a small matching smash cake. The cakes were PERFECT! Taste was spot on as usual! Communication and pickup easy. I think I saw that she also made our venue's next party's mermaid cake as well (which also looked beautiful!) How does Laurice do it?! I found Sweet moments on Yelp,nothing but 5 star reviews. so I thought I would ask Laurice to make some cookies I saw on Pinterest, I had no idea that they would turn out exactly as pictured!  Laurice did an excellent professional job and the cookies were very good & fresh. I've tried many different bakeries in search of the perfect sugar cookie and  Laurice nailed it. I've never spent a lot on cookies before but it was certainly worth it for a special occasion, the pictures of her cakes are so beautiful also. My review is a little late, and Laurice made a special late request that exceeded all expectations. She made a wonderful cake for my daughter, and last minute which I hated that I put the burden on her, but she delivered and the cake was awesome, I could not be happier.
