My filet mignon was MORE TENDER than I imagined it could be. I enjoyed the SOFT bread that was served before and during our meal and I was DELIGHTFULLY satisfied when I was through. Even though it looks like a strange little deli under a bowling alley and sounds like a Thai restaurant... this is an AMAZING Italian restaurant. Cozy and intimate with excellent service and delicious food. They were so accommodating and we had the most lovely and relaxing New Year's Eve dinner. I think this Italian restaurant in Big Bear Lake is exceptional.. we had a quality bottle of Italian red wine, a large plate of antipasti, and squash ravioli with cream sauce. The service was very good.

Been living in Big Bear for 6+ yrs and it was our first time here. Really enjoyed it! The food was very good, service was good and the bottled wine prices were not too steep. Lunch is always delicious! I suggest the sizzling shrimp appetizer and the chicken panini with Misto salad! Glass and wine and you’ve just had one of the best lunches in Big Bear Lake!

This place is a small cozy restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere, don't be fooled by its location at the red barn. The staff was amazing and extremely accommodating, even when completely swamped. The food is absolutely delicious and will leave you wanting more, so save room for dessert. I would post a picture with it but I ate it all before thinking to take a photo. Had a great time here, had to wait a bit for a table (which was little weird since there weren't any other customers) but the food more than made up for it. Everyone was more than happy with their lunch. I often don't enjoy side salads, but the one served with my caparase panini was amazing!! The vinaigrette and crushed pistachios - so delicious! Certainly one of the best restaurants in the Big Bear Lake area. My wife and I just celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary at Sweet Basil Bistro last night. The service here is top notch. Martin was prompt and catered to our every need. He started us off with a generous portion of warm, slightly toasted sliced bread served with a garlic & herb olive oil dipping sauce that was very good. We both had the zucchini soup, my wife had the special salmon dish and I had the special rack-of-lamb dish. We shared a great bottle of Cabernet and a wonderful cheesecake for dessert.
