Q&As

A healthy diet is extremely important to a person's health an well-being. People who follow a healthy diet feel more energized. They fall asleep easier, stay asleep longer, and wake up refreshed. Their moods are more stabilized and they have better mental health. A healthy diet is essential to maintaining a healthy body weight. People who eat well have clearer skin and are not as at risk for developing heart disease, strokes, and cancer.

At our office, we have noticed that those who follow a more healthy diet respond quicker to care and have longer lasting results from their treatments.

I love helping people. Most people that come in to the clinic have "tried everything else" and they get relief from pain within an hour, they lose significant amounts of weight within a month or two, their lab work improves when we do a check-up after the initial visit. Sometimes, I am amazed by the difference I get to make in my patients' lives.

I wanted to bring my expertise to the St. Louis area to help as many people as possible while still remaining near my extended family in Southern Illinois.

I have 18 years experience. I am well versed in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. I have studied with masters and doctors from Taiwan, China, California, and all over the world.

Acupuncture is a medical therapy developed over 2500 years ago in Asia. Acupuncture stimulates specific points beneath the skin by the insertion of acupuncture needles. This causes a changes in the nervous system, blood flow, and musculoskeletal system.

Chinese Medicine has long used manipulation to treat various problems with nerves, muscles, bones, and joints. Back in the Zhou Dynasty (1046-256 B.C.) orthopedic and bone setting specialists had already been established.

The Greco-Roman world saw many great physicians like Hippocrates, Cato, and Galen who prescribed treating the body with spinal and other joint manipulation. Bone setting was a common practice throughout Europe and made its way to America.

In 1895, D.D. Palmer founded the basis of Chiropractic. His theory was that misalignments of the spine can irritate the nerves that branch off from the spine which then send improper information from the brain to the organs. He opened the first Chiropractic College in 1897.

From Palmer the Chiropractic profession was born and as of this date there are over 60,000 licensed Chiropractors in the United States

Chiropractic adjustments can increase mobility, decrease pain and pressure, improve posture, and align various areas of the body for optimal mechanic function.

Herbal medicines are plant-based remedies by creating custom combinations of plant parts, like: roots, flowers, bark, twigs, or leaves. Each part of the plant has unique medicinal properties and depending on the patient's needs, different methods of preparation are used to obtain the medicines from the plant.

Herbal medicine is usually safe for most people. Each case is different – no two patients or condition is treated exactly the same.

Our office uses laboratory testing to customize a weight loss plan based on your unique condition to help you get the best results in the quickest amount of time.
