We hired SuperbMovers last minute as our moving plans changed. Communication from the start was very easy and professional. We moved into a 2bedroom home on the second floor and these guys did not even stop carrying boxes and furniture for a single break. All things made it home safe, and if you ever moved with a kid - you know you have a lot of things! 4 hours later we had our entire house moved. Totally saved my moving process!!! Read ALL the bad reviews and know they are true. It's not worth the risk of hoping you'll have a good experience. I was scheduled on. Saturday 8-10am. I texted and called several times days before to confirm, no response - bad sign #1. Day of I get a text from a different # telling me the truck broke down and they will be there between 11-1. Then I get another text it's now going to be 1-3, "we will give you a discount ", At 2:30 I get a call from someone saying they are leaving Long Beach (I was in Sherman Oaks) - I started asking questions and he was vague and just said "this is what our boss told us". They arrived at 4:30 and it was a completely different company! They wanted me to sign papers and agree to stuff I never agreed to. I finally got the guy on the phone I was texting and he tells me "I'm doing my friend a favor at Superb Movers". It all seemed so fishy to me. I asked them to leave. I moved a couple months back in March /2021. As everyone knows it is stressful to move. Well I decided to hiribg moving company and Sergei was very helpful since the start for me communicating thru text was easier and so he did I ask so many questions and all where answer.  I hire them they arrived on time and right away got to work , they were also attentive, careful to every single thing I told themto becareful with. It took acouple hours but it got done . I did not do the carrying but I felt exhausted. I could only imaging If I didnt hire them . Good hard working gentlemans . Thank you Sergie also for going above and beyond to get me a copy of my receipt which I do not know where I placed it on that day . Moving is one of the worst possible events because it is highly stressful. I am a full time working mom and scheduled everything based on this move. All that had to be done last and was the point of hiring "Superb" Movers was that I needed help transporting larger furniture items...your normal items of armoire, fridge and couch. I unfortunately had to agree to a 3hour minimum job even though there are very minimum items to transport.I was scheduled and promised an arrival of 8-10am and the guy called me at 9:12 to say that they'll be late. He said they had a job late the night before that was up 3 flights of stairs and they workers are tired today and had to change the window to 11-1pm. He wanted to give me a heads up at 9:12, the tail end of the window we were given. You're not doing me any favor by telling me at the end of the window instead of early in the morning. Again, we scheduled all meetings and other appointments around this move so being punctual was highly critical. Their response was the poor excuse and also that timing for moving almost never run on schedule. THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM, NOT MINE. I have a schedule that I need to stick to and the reason for hiring you in the first place! Then they asked to change windows which we unfortunately could not due to scheduled meetings in the afternoon. They offered a discount which is useless  for two reasons: (1) i hired you at a premium so I can get things done timely and (2) if you didn't keep your punctuality then why would I trust you a second time? The discount shows that they can do at a lower cost to make up for a half ass apology and unprofessionalism. If anyone accepts that, it would mean to accept mediocre work. You get what you paid for. Being in a service industry, punctuality is a key and it was obviously missed by a mile.Needless to say, this has caused me an immense amount of stress and I had to cancel for a backup plan since I lost trust in their punctuality...That is if they would show up at all. I have left you text messages, an email, and yelp messages to cancel. I also have a recording of the poor excuse given. This experience has been really mortifying and stressful. Horrible!  I can't understand how this company has good reviews.  Maybe I got them on a bad day?  Either way I was subcontracted to them by starving students.  I did not know this company was my movers until they showed up. I was quoted 4 hours using 4 movers and it took them 7.5 hours with added 30 min for driving time.  The two extra movers were late to arrive and very late to new home from old home.  The owner was very rude and on his phone a lot of the time.  Getting extra movers was a waist of money because out of the 4 only 2 were really working.  Only furniture was moved, no boxes and no items needed to be packed by them.  They did not damage anything but the amount of time they took to wrap each item would have been comical if I wasn't paying so much by the hour.  We had all drawers to furniture emptied and ready to move.  They moved 5 dressers, 4 mattresses (only one bed frame, two end tables, 3 desks, kitchen table and chairs, sofa, recliner, tool bench, garden bench, refrigerator, washer/dryer and a tv stand.  We packed and moved all of our boxes and cloths.   After seeing how slow they were packing up my sons and I did our best to speed things up when they were unpacking.  We unwrapped furniture snd folded up blankets.  I put my own bed together and we moved the furniture into place.  After all of that when owner was giving me the absolute shake down of a bill he had the nerve to tell me I had to pay 20% tip and that all customers do.  When I told him I just paid twice as much as I should have he got angry and shouted to the other movers outside (for all my new neighbors to hear) that I gave them nothing and he stormed out. Ok, moving is hell. And I have a lot of stuff, books, artwork, art supplies, flat files, blown glass...heavy furniture I inherited from my parents. ..so NOT your typical one bedroom move. And originally there were issues with my move, but Sergei stepped up, and rectified it.Rudy & Yuri are excellent. Rudy really is great. Richard, a manager, is patient & hard working & truly "stepped up" to rectify my problems. So I recommend them BUT if there's an issue, don't wait until the move is over, reach out to Richard. I had an overall good experience with this company. The person working dispatch was very accommodating as I had to change my date twice because of some delays that impacted move in date, so I was very appreciative of that. The guys were friendly, arrived on time and completed the job.

The only drawback were

1) their shoes messed up my brand new carpet from the constant in and out. I didn’t want to make them stop and remove their shoes each time they went in and out because I had a lot of stuff to move-so although it’s annoying that I now have to get my carpet cleaned after only a week of living in my new place, I understand.

2) They took a little over an hour to eat lunch and travel 5 miles from my storage to my apartment which of course I had to pay for. But again I’m understanding because I was their second job of the day, but I just wish that was clear when we scheduled the appointment so I could better budget for this move.

All things considered I would still hire these guys again because these were minor things More...

Alfredo and Charlie just completed a fairly large move for me today- out of a studio, then drive to my storage unit and emptied  that, then on to my new apartment. They did an AMAZING JOB. They were friendly, very efficient, not one bit of damage to my belongings, and fulfilled all of my requests (put this here, put that there etc). Thank you Charlie and Alfredo for everything! The guys at superb movers made moving super easy for me. They definitely took a load of stress off my already full plate. They sent email confirmations, and a courtesy call the day before . They showed up on time and carefully pack all of our belongings from our storage unit. We had a few extra heavy item and it was no problem for them, and no extra fee! They were prepared with all the moving equipment and extra boxes for loose items! When we arrived at the new house they got busy right away, they brought everything I needed to each room that I wanted. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for movers. More...

It is very hard to bealive this is a 5 star provider, this is not my first time use moving service at Thumbtack, the mover charged me upstair fee $100 and I have to agree the double trouble time charge, the most bad thing is the mover guys lost almost 1 hour before the third pickup, of course, this time in the charge also. I started this review a few months ago and am finishing it now because I think its important enough to do so. Id suggest paying special attention to how they handle feedback like mine. Id really like to preface by saying that the reason why I had a bad experience with this company had less to do with circumstance and more to do with the rude, unprofessional attitude I was confronted with. The thing is, I am a small business owner myself and get inundated daily with customer inquiries and I value the importance of treating people with respect and kindness as well as trying to do whatever I can to make any and all situations right. I spoke to someone from the company 2 days before because I needed to urgently move. While we were discussing my needs, there appeared the option to book my appointment via yelp which I did. I was sent the confirmation shown in my screenshot. I was told by the agent that I would be expecting them from 1-4pm and, being that I am a business owner AND moving, I went on about my busy life. The day I was supposed to move into my new apartment and I was at my old one at 1 as per their advisement and I noticed that it appears they have no record of my appointment. I am panicking as I have little time as it is and now I have to deal with the fact that it SEEMED my movers wouldn't show up. I am admittedly freaking out a bit as I have scheduled my whole week around this move and it was starting to look like things were going down hill. Since the individual who I was speaking with did not seem to understand that I had a CLEAR confirmation with a date and time, and all I received in response to my trying to show my appointment was a curt, sarcastic "SURE" (as though I am sitting around..trying to play a prank or lying when it was clearly a misunderstanding). Since it seemed that there was some confusion, I took the time to screenshot my confirmation and send it over via email, asking about my appointment. I was then called and that's when things really got ridiculousThe person on the other line, the same individual i had been speaking with via yelp mail, was EXTREMELY rude and nasty. Instead of trying to get to the bottom of the situation- as ANY self-respecting business owner would do- they acted as though I was crazy - like I had made the whole thing up. He didn't want to take ANY accountability or try to help me reschedule or anything- he just wanted to argue.To be honest, this isn't the end of the world for me. I had the opportunity to move to a dream building and still have a lease at both apartments meaning I don't have to move out by the 1st or anything- i just really wanted to settle into my new surroundings. If he had said something along the lines of " I am so sorry, it looks as though the time you scheduled was not done so correctly. We do not book through yelp and can only take appointments via our website. I apologize for the confusion- is there a time that can work for you to reschedule?" I did not book with Superb Movers, but one of their partners, but I am glad we ended up with them! Ethan and his partner did a great job. They showed up on time, mask ready, packing materials ready and got to work! They were fast, efficient, and did a great job repacking some of our smaller items into "speed pack" boxes to get things in and out faster. Once they got to my home they were very good about bringing everything in, keeping their mask on, and helping getting everything where we wanted it! They helped us assemble our furniture and helped move some new furniture in that was already at the house that needed to go upstairs. The team was friendly and very courteous and respectful of our house and belongings. If i need to move again I would definitely book with them directly next time! More...
