Staff is sweet & the food was delicious! Got a rueben (I'm usually not a huge fan of rye (I know, the irony) but their rye wasn't overpowering- balanced out the other ingredients. Potato salad was delish - who doesn't love chunks of bacon?! (Spoiler alert: I love bacon - I am biased). This place is definitely not the same Sunnyside deli we all loved! The sandwiches are dry, tasteless and not loaded with meat as they always have been. I ordered The Works, it was more like The Weak! The side salad was old yellow lettuce with red ends! They should be embarrassed serving this! The guy making the sandwich was as slow as sap, the look on his face while making the sandwich was a big bewildered look " Am I doing this right?" I paid $15 for crap! Rating change... I went from 5 stars with previous owner to 2 stars with new owner. I came in hoping everything would be the same considering there was only a name change. The sandwich that I always get (club) tasted nothing like how it was before. The bread was different, the bacon seemed different (unless they're still learning how to cook it?). There was literally no flavor. My gf got her usual (tba). She didn't even finish her sandwich. Normally she takes the uneaten 1/2 sandwich home. But today she threw it away. I honestly probably won't be back for a while in hopes that they get better. The fries were good though! I can't believe I'm saying this... but deli d is where ill be going for a sandwich in that area. I truly hope sunnyside gets better and I can update the rating to what it was before in the past. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Nothing like old. my sandwich, which we got to go, had no mustard, no wax peppers no cheese, RAW bacon and an inch thick piece of unripe avacado. Husband's HOT pastrami was more like Refrigerated! Wait was long. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LIKE THE FORMER...DO NOT BE FOOLED. Sunnyside Deli is now open with new ownership. My wife and I tried the deli this afternoon and were really disappointed as ownership has not improved on the one big bottleneck that has kept us away from the Sunnyside Deli. Today, I put in my order and then waited in line for 30 minutes just to get to the cashier to pay and get our food. This is unacceptable and especially so for those who have a limited lunch period. This is a great friendly family owned  neighborhood deli to meet up for lunch ONLY that serves beer and wine produced by local wineries and microbreweries!  The sandwiches don't disappoint!  The local favorites are the TBA ( turkey, bacon and avocado ), Italian sub (4 meat types included), and The Works ( pastrami, Mortadella, Salami, Roast Beef, and Ham). One of the best sandwich places in Fresno. They are now open again after a recent closure for a few months. The restaurant was bought by a local family well known in the community. We used their online order app to get our sandwiches to go. The app was very easy to use and you were able to make a payment as the last step. When you arrive at the Deli you are instructed (by a sign in the window) to drive around back and pick up your order. We ordered a BLT, Italian Sausage Sandwich, and Bacon Avocado and Turkey sandwich. They were all very good. They need to be a little more careful with these mobile orders as our BLT was missing the L (lettuce). Â We were eating at home so repairing the sandwich was a simple matter and not a big deal.
