The food, service, and atmosphere was spot on!!! I looked up places to eat at in Clayton while driving through on family vacation. It was a very welcoming, comfortable diner. The food is all made from scratch and can taste it! That was the best pulled pork, coleslaw, tomato cucumber salad and pancake ever had! The huge delicious pancake cost $2! Added it on to try and share with the rest of family. Didn’t even use syrup, they had a local raw honey on table and that was better than any honey I have tasted before so put that on there. Everyone else loved their dishes-especially Mac n cheese! Very creamy and cheesy. Would definitely eat there again if I ever get back out that way. More...

We’re always on the lookout for good southern cooking restaurants and just happened upon this one one evening while in Clayton. So glad we did! Husband had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. I had a veggie plate with turnip greens, green beans, blackeyed peas and mashed potatoes with gravy. We enjoyed everything! where to start....?!?!??! The six of us can in for breakfast and it was amazing ! Our waitress was so sweet . We left extremely full. We don't have kids that are picky eaters but they loved those pancakes and the biscuits and gravy, yummy is what we heard 😁. My omelet was perfect . The hubs had an omelet as well and couldn't be happier. Thanks for an awesome experience and we will be sure to stop in again . Do yourself a favor and stop in here More...

Just as wonderful as we remembered from our last visit! The McKissacks and team are welcoming and the food was served fast! Great variety of items to choose from also. The pancakes were amazing, my OM eggs were cooked perfectly, and that’s saying something! The sausage gravy was sooo delicious, and the home fries were homemade tender and yummy. first of all the people that say the food is good there they don't have nowhere else to go and they live down there but if you're traveling I advise you not to eat there the food is no good and the service is very poor the floors very nasty and a little girls that waited on tables had the shorts up their butt no good place to eat don't go there you are wasting your money made me so mad I couldn't even eat the food and didn't even leave a tip the service is bad food no good and the restaurant is dirty John Foster said that
