SugarElla's, LLC

We met a year in advance to do a taste test with Kim and the Sugarella team. Everything we tried was delicious and we decided on doing 3 different stations from a pasta bar with shrimp. Meatballs, chicken, veggies and two kinds of pasta with both a white and red sauce, to a Mexican station complete with a nacho cheese fountain, Mexican Cornbread salad, and the wonton tacos which were so yummy. Along with the slider station with 3 different kinds of sliders. From the appetizers at the beginning of the evening to the end of the late night pretzels served out of their little trailer everything was simply delicious. Many of the guests said it was the best wedding food ever and they appreciated the wide variety. No little detail went unturned. Even the napkins were folded and displayed beautifully. Kim took charge at the venue and explained each and every station and what the guests could expect. She also catered to our gluten free guests. We would never hesitate to use Kim and the Sugarella team again for any catering services we may need. They are truly a more specialized and individualized operation then most wedding caterers. From the initial tasting to the bridal party boxed lunches, to our incredible reception spread, Kim and her team took AMAZING care of us throughout our wedding journey. “We work WITH you to create an event. We do NOT work FOR you!” is a quote made to us by the owner of the caterer (SugarElla’s Catering) that was contracted for our wedding after numerous issues/shortfalls were brought to their attention. A short summary… less bartenders then we agreed to, no leftovers were provided (even with 16 no-shows), and we had to provide assistance by assisting with man power, providing a side by side, and a trailer just to name a few issues. Rather than trying to work with us when these issues were brought to SugarElla’s attention they just tried to breach the contract and charge us more. More...

We just had some legitimate day of issues that could have been resolved very easily. But now we have complaints and issues with your professionalism as an owner of the company. Your values are not honest and it's clear that you would rather argue with a client rather than just hear the problem and solve the issue at hand. I cannot recommend SugarElla's catering enough. My husband Jake and I hired them for our wedding and from start to finish had the most wonderful experience with them. Kim Putney, the mastermind behind SugarElla's, was easy to work with, flexible, kind, and extremely professional.

They scheduled us for a tasting right away and made us samples of everything we were interested in, and even a few things that we hadn't requested that Kim thought we might like. We ended up going with their sun-dried tomato stuffed chicken and their zucchini ravioli for our entrees. Both were incredible and we got compliments on the food all night. Also, in a world where vegetarian wedding options can be pretty sad at times, the zucchini ravioli was the star of the show not only for the vegetarians but for almost every guest who tried it. Additionally, the SugarElla's buffet comes with servers, which added an element of classiness that can sometimes be missing from self-serve buffets.

Kim is also an expert baker. Jake and I decided to forgo a cake and frankly Kim's deserts were better than any Costco sheet cake we could have served. She gave us an awesome spread and we had people on the dance floor just trying to make room for more of her awesome bites. Kim also provided a late night snack for us, which came in clutch as our reception was one heck of a party. Overall, the food was amazing and we could not have been more pleased.

Additionally, Kim was extremely hands-on all night, even going around to each table to check on our guests. We had so many people tell us how much they appreciated that level of service. Kim and SugarElla's helped make our night magical.

Also, for brides on a budget, I would recommend SugarElla's. Kim worked with us and within our constraints to find a menu that suited our wants. Nowhere better! If you're considering SugarElla's, I would highly recommend them.

From my first phone conversation with Kim, I knew that we had to have her as our caterer. I gave her a very brief overview of our vision for our meal, breakfast for dinner with the main entree being my husband’s favorite, chicken and waffles.
