We ordered a Carmel Apple pie for thanksgiving through mapleside and it was amazing! It instantly made me feel like I was in the store smelling the fire burn and drinking cider with the first bite - which I would do all the time when I was little in the fall at mapleside. Everything they make is amazing! I'm a basic girl, so I'm fine with a simple snickernoodle, oatmeal, or chocolate chip cookie. My boys love the stuffed and fluffed cupcakes and pretty much everything in the display case. Also used them for a party, and not only do they have tasty treats, but they are very cost effective. My younger brother (who is autistic & limited verbally) & I visited Sugar Hive this past weekend & had an amazing experience! I do not know the girl’s name who helped us but she was beyond patient and so helpful! My brother is working on using his words to order and interact with our new community (my husband and I recently moved back to the area). My brother was so excited to get a cupcake and a cinnamon roll, was able to order & tell the nice girl serving us “Thank you”. Thank you Sugar Hive for making our trip to the bakery so special! We had the Sugar Hive make the cupcakes for my daughters baby shower. They were adorable. We had Chocolate 5 ways, Cassata, Lemon Raspberry, and Cookies and Cream. The paper wrappings were so cute, they looked like tulips which matched the colors of the shower theme. Each flavor of cupcake had an original decoration to match the flavor. I've had bakery made by one of the co-owners (Julie) at parties and other social gatherings before, so what a "treat" it was to find out they took on some retail space! Here's what I bought...An assortment of cupcakes- Chocolate with Cheesecake filling, Bacon Maple French Toast, and Wedding Cake. NO, I did not eat all of them! Geez! I had the Bacon Maple French Toast cupcake it was moist, flavorful...all the adjectives that describe a cupcake that rocked! My family also enjoyed the other flavors!Bonus Time....They have the original recipe and make the Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares that came with school lunches back in the day! Remember those?As a rule of thumb, I never give a 5 star rating on the first visit, especially new retail businesses. But I will go back for sure and they have 5 star potential, if they maintain consistent quality. Went to Sprinkles in San Diego last Summer, these were better! More...

Brooke is not only an amazing artist but an incredible baker. Our cake was gorgeous. She was able to take our ideas and incorporate them into a beautiful piece of art. Perhaps just as important, it tasted delicious. And not your usual boring flavor combinations-so unique and unexpected. Oh good lord!! Had the chocolate chip cookie which hit the spot, amazing home made taste and lots of chocolate chips.
