I love this place. From the first cake I bought here I was hooked. Their frosting is rich without being 'store bought' sweet. Their cake is the same - rich and flavorful and fresh with simple ingredients. They cater to my son's tree nut / peanut allergies on request and we've never had a problem eating their cakes. I am addicted to their eclairs, which someone once exclaimed to me "That's the size of a sub sandwich!". If custom decorated cakes are your thing, they do a great job in that arena too. More...

I stopped in today to check out their gluten free items. My son helped me pick out some cupcakes, which were decently priced. Gluten free is tricky, most times GF items I have bought are dense and just okay. This Chocolate cupcake I just tried is soft, flavorful and so good. Happend in this bakery when we were in town for a soccer tournament and got lost. What a great mistake!! I had 5 different mouths to feed and each got something different and all were amazing! I had pumpkin cheesecake with pecans and caramel that was divine! Everything was so fresh and good that I got more to take with us! I Definitely will intentionally go back next time in town! More...

My family and I are visiting Raleigh from Cincinnati - we stopped at the Sugar Buzz Bakery and bought vanilla cupcakes and a double chocolate brownie while exploring the city. I am absolutely beyond impressed- the cupcake icing was the perfect blend of buttery and sweetness - which as a baker myself I so enjoyed. My husband and daughter loved their brownie and have asked if we can get another to take home with us. I ordered a cake for my niece’s graduation from SugarBuzz, and I’ll never go to another bakery again. I love that this bakery can accommodate gluten free dietary needs. They can make any cake gluten free! The cake was a huge hit with non-gluten free people too. They swore they couldn’t even tell the difference! It was so delicious! My husband ordered a cake for my 50th birthday party. Because several of our friends have gluten allergies, he ordered a gluten free cake with strawberry cream filling and pink icing. It was wonderful! You could not tell a difference between the gluten free cake and a regular cake. It tasted awesome! It has been over a week and people in are still talking about the cake.
