Very Disappointed
Greetings.... unfortunately the stylist (Norman) lost his concentration when he styled the back of my natural hair.... because there is no consistent uniformity (see attached pics).
...he just bunched the ends together. Very disappointing; in fact, these same haphazard knots at the base of my neck began separating (they came a loose) the very next day.
Notwithstanding, my best friend purchased this wash/cond/style appt w/Norman as a birthday gift - primarily becuz of the reviews others had posted on the salon's website & on Google - but somewhere along the way this stylist has lost his edge for consistently providing quality services. Please understand I was Norman's 1st appointment that day (8a) so there's no reason he shouldn't have been alert and attentive to his craft. W/this in mind, besides wasting $71+ I was saddened by the misrepresentation of services that are being perpetuated upon our community (by 1 of our very own)!

I get my hair cut and colored by Lautrice and she’s amazing. I’ve gone to her twice and I’ll never let anyone else cut my hair. She is kind and funny and I always have a lot of fun with her. I went in a few weeks ago for a full change; permanent color, curly fringe and highlights. I was really nervous about getting my hair highlighted because I was afraid it would damage my curl pattern. She assured me that she wouldn’t do anything to damage my hair. She worked on me for several hours and toned my color until it was perfect. I looooove the results. My hair is soft, bouncy and I has great volume. She even checked on me by text the next day and a few weeks after to make sure I was still happy with my hair. It’s taken me yeeeeeeears to find someone that can cut my curls. I’m 33 and Lautrice is the first stylist that’s left me 100% happy with my curls! More...

Loved my experience there. Sherri was so sweet and thoughtful. I was getting my hair cut extremely short from what I was used to and she made my entire appointment amazing. I love my hair. Now that I moved, it would be difficult to go back. But the long drive would be worth it here. More...

Styles by Lisa is Welcoming Relaxed Professional Atmosphere. The stylist at Styles by Lisa are very pleasant, friendly and professional. Love my stylist Norman the hairologist. If that's a word lol.He is very much into hair care. That's important to me. He explains when and why he uses a product. What results he is trying to achieve with my hair. I very seldom write reviews for any business, partly due to being lethargic and partly due to not having a larger than life experience. As you may be able to infer from the first sentence, I had an astonishing experience! Ms. Lisa greeted and took care of me very professionally from the moment I walked in. Her and her staff are as friendly as they come. From the beginning to end she was walking me through every step, as well as informing/educating me on what, why, and how I should tend to my type of hair. Her expertise is second to none and I trust her with her recommendations or opinions for curly hair whether it be tight, loose, thick, thin, kinky, wavy. If you want to strut your natural hair she is the one to go to. As a young man with long hair I've been unaware of the management required to maintain my hair. Not only was I unaware but I had no clue who to go to for information. Instead I would let my hair, knot up, frizz, and damage itself due to my ignorance. Her products and treatments are superb. I would not a give a second thought on any advice she gives me I don't care if she tells me to put peanut butter and skittles in my hair, best believe I would do it. (Hahaha) In short Ms. Lisa did an amazing job, I highly recommend her to anyone no matter the texture or type of curly hair, she knows how to take care of it. I LOVE Norm!! He really has helped my hair look amazing in the past year, not to mention that it grows so fast now. He is so easy to talk to, that time flies by while he is styling you. Everyone at the salon is always super nice to me. I get a curl strengthening treatment that helps with the frizz, especially un the summer. More...
