I went from someone who didn't think very much of herself to someone who has not in only grown in strength physically, but mentally as well. Today, I am stronger, more confident, and more fit than I've ever been and it is all thanks to the love, support, and instruction I've received from the owner Elle and her wonderful team of instructors.I recently competed at PSO Southern on the Studio Steel Team and I won a gold medal!!! I'm three months into pole sport and this is the type of results I've received in such a short period of time. If you like to workout in a judge-free environment filled with people of all backgrounds then this is the place to be. I would give it 5, but while I loved Elle's energy I was totally turned off by Corinne. She just didn't seem to know the difference between what's appropriate to speak about as a teacher and what isn't. She just was a major over sharer of her personal life, and the worst part was her young son is feet away possibly listening to his mother talk about inappropriate things. More...

I've followed the development of this local, woman-owned, start-up from the beginning and have heard and witnessed only good and positive reviews from the folks who have been there. Seems odd that the only negative review is about alleged employment practices supposedly from someone who has been to Studio Steel, but does not show up in any of the attendance records, and certainly never worked there. Or, is this just another one of your "sock puppets", Corinne? I think maybe so. Studio Steel is a great place to learn the art and has talented and helpful instructors who want their students to be their best,,,and have fun doing it. Y'all should check it out! More...

Finally, a professional vertical fitness facility in B'ham! Pole is an incredible workout and it's greatly enhanced when the instructors and the studio are top notch, like they are here. Studio Steel is a new, unique, and very comfortable space that really lets you focus on the workout. I so like the look and feel of the place. The pleasant surroundings, ample parking, professional equipment, and quality accessories in the boutique let it all come together. Definitely worth a visit. And, they've got a great $10 "Taste of Pole" option that newbies should absolutely check out. More...

Going to class at Studio Steel is definitely my favorite place to go/do through out the week. Corinne an Elle are some of the most friendliest people I have been delighted to meet. Studio Steel is a welcoming space with some very interesting design features.  It's awesome that the Birmingham area now actually has its own vertical fitness pole studio.  The Olympic Committee just granted three year Observer status to pole sports, so it is now on the cutting edge and Studio Steel is right there with it!  The Studio has a fully stocked boutique, 7 poles, and a full wall of mirrors.  Quite nice.  There is ample free parking and the space was recently remodeled.  The staff were very friendly and quite knowledgeable.  They told me about the New Student Special, which is a great deal.  I would definitely recommend a visit! I took the introductory (teaser) class here this morning with a friend and couldn't have asked for a sweeter experience. Elle is an absolute doll and was so patient and encouraging with two newbies. We had a blast and are looking to schedule an upcoming 'pole academy' course... too fun! The shop is located on the bottom floor of a multistory building and set into the hill a bit making it hard to find.... follow the address (it is accurate) and pay attention to the signage. The studio itself is spotlessly clean and cleverly decorated. The lighting is kind to a non-super model-body and the poles are professional quality and have the ability to be static or to spin.  They offer multiple options for class passes and monthly memberships. They also over a 6 week, 12 class 'pole academy' which are progressive courses on technique. The studio also has a small boutique with shoes and dance wear. Elle, the owner, is a really lovely human and just so fun. We also met the main instructor who has a fantastic, can-do attitude and fun personality. We'll be back and I challenge anyone who thinks pole 'isn't for them' to give this studio a try. More...
