I've been taking lessons from this tutor for a few months now to get back into playing piano after a decade plus not playing. I think she might be the best tutor I've ever had; she knows a lot about music, and she's teaching me not just how to play, but how to learn and develop in such a way that I won't have RSI or carpal tunnel, and that will improve my ability to learn more difficult music. In short I've learned and relearned in weeks what I think would have taken many months or years with my previous tutors, and for anybody considering Strike the Right Note I really recommend using this tutor. I had a meeting with Cynthia to learn more about her and her business, and I was really blown away by how knowledgeable she is--I'm a (pretty lapsed) musician myself, I've got a few years experience playing piano and later trombone, and I think I've had full-time professors who knew less about music than she does, and that's to say nothing of how broadly she's actually studied, both on how to effectively teach (she can take you from two left hands to playing music that sounds good in thirty minutes, and she can keep you steadily improving at that pace) and on sound and the human body. It's why she can teach you how to sound clearer and more confident when you speak--she knows what you need to do and consider to talk like you're one of the best public speakers.Cynthia's amazingly knowledgeable and incredibly affordable, well worth your time! I spent some time researching places for vocal lessons. I was looking for a good price and someone who is knowledgeable, professional, and not a chain store offering lessons. After checking out her website, I contacted Cynthia to set-up my lesson. She has been nothing but patient with me and teaches me patience with myself in addition to teaching me how to sing correctly and with ease. She has a lot of experience in training others and gives you many tools to be able to progress at home. I'd absolutely recommend giving her a try for vocal or piano lessons. More...

I met with the music master, Cynthia K Wunsch, who had me do some trial runs on the piano and was surprised to learn how much I still remember my way around a keyboard. Thank you for having me over.

Cynthia has a talent for helping people learn music with methods that last.  Whether a child has given up lessons, or as an adult you want to get into piano or voice, she can help you gain the skills you are looking for, and allow you to progress.  I have friends that have come away from one lesson, able to play a song on the piano.  I can only say, you need to schedule lessons and see for yourself. What a great experience! My son...12, started playing the piano with two hands after the first lesson. He made great progress in a short time. Counter moving hands, inverse cords, and it all sounding great. Cynthia was patient and kind about the mistakes and kept Him going in the right direction. She can help any student make music!
Thanks

Cynthia is an amazing instructor.  I have been taking voice lessons with her several months. I am a complete novice, but she made me feel comfortable and explained things in a way I understand.  I also know people who have taken piano lessons from her who have reached goals faster than they ever expected. She customizes her lessons to fit each individual student. More...

I have always wanted to sing, but I got kicked out of choir in High School and even took voice lessons in College to very little avail. I met Cynthia in a networking group and had people "sing" her praises, so I tried. The amazing part is that it helped me in talking to groups and furthermore in just a few weeks she had me where I can actually sing at Church. I am going to take more as my goal is to be able to sing on stage. I could not sing and she taught me how in a relatively short time. If you know anyone who sings for a living or even talks for a living, I would recommend Cynthia highly as she is very educated, experienced and can help you resonate your presentation. More...
