Great service and absolutely gorgeous bouquet! I came into Strelitzia with a budget and preferred colors (pink & purple) and the lady helping me did an amazing job! Immediately upon arriving, I was greeted and told someone would be with me in a moment. Then I was approached by the person who made the bouquet and she asked how she could help. I told her my aforementioned budget and preferred colors and she delivered a great product in no time at all-- less than 10 minutes!All of the employees are cordial and I was very pleased with the service. I have used this company a few times already. Being 3000 miles away from my daughter while she's at college makes it difficult to know who to use to send flowers to her on special occasions. Strelitzia has been a beloved favorite when it comes to Davis florists for as long as I can remember. Since moving to Seattle early August of last year- I really wanted to send flowers to my Mom on Valentine's Day. Online I had ordered the Raspberry Beauty which start at $80-Before checking out you're given a couple options to upgrade to a fuller bouquet with higher quality flowers. Since I love my mom so much I wanted her to have the most beautiful bouquet so obviously I had to upgraded! When they arrived my mom was surprised and excited. She sent photos and thanked me, but to my surprise I was discontent with the result. The photo she sent looked mostly of green fluff. I felt caught off guard because I was expecting a 360 display and was disappointed to learn this display was only partial. I love Strelitzia and supporting local business so I was really trying to focus on the positives. Later when I received a follow up email asking for an honest review I suggested they update their website regarding the display angles on their flowers and hope they take my advice into consideration. About a week or so later my mom sent me another photo of a different bouquet and thanked me again. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the company had sent a complementary bouquet with an apology stating "We apologize the arrangement was not up to our standards, please enjoy these flowers" The initiative taken by Strelitzia to satisfy costumer needs and make amends is the reason I will most certainly continue to be a customer. Fantastic flowershop!!! I cannot rave enough about their customer service, it's what really puts them at the top. On top of that, they offer so many interesting services:I think this one one of the only places I've ever been where you can walk in and walk out 20 minutes later with a gorgeous, fresh, handheld bouquet that was made right in front of me, with flowers I helped choose, for only $30. They do regular headband, corsage, wreath, bouquet, etc classes, taught in the evenings, and I can bring wine!!!They will DECORATE FOR YOU. Want garlands or wreaths for the holidays? Don't want it to look like you threw branches haphazardly on a counter, like it does when I try? They will come make it look professional, and it's actually a really good price. I entered a contest, nominating my grandparents for an anniversary celebration being put on by The Falls Event Center in Roseville. We were selected and I have nothing but good things to say about them and all of the vendors who contributed in making my grandparents' 70th Wedding Anniversary a successful and memorable evening.I was given Tish's information from Cathi at the Falls and she was fantastic to us. I don't know much about flowers, only that my grandmother's favorite is the orchid and my grandfather's favorite color is yellow. With that, and knowing that our color scheme was "gold and white," Tish pulled together beautiful centerpieces for all of the dining tables, accent arrangements for the bar, cake table, and a massive arrangement for the buffet table. I cannot remember the name of her associate who delivered and placed all the arrangements (sorry!) but she was so sweet when I briefly spoke with her about placing some of the extra pieces that were donated to the event. I live in Northern NY and was ordering flowers for my daughter's wedding.  My sister-in-law and I were doing all the girls flowers and the table flowers.  I talked to Anna on the phone and she was very helpful.  I ordered the flowers and when I went to pick them up, Ellen was very helpful and let us go into the back cooler to look at the other greens and flowers to see if there was anything else we needed.  Anna also said that we could borrow their buckets for the flowers.  HUGE help to us!  Both the women were very helpful, kind, and professional.  Their quality of flowers was above and beyond what we had hoped.  My daughter's wedding was beautiful and the flowers were a big part of it.  Would highly recommend this flower shop! Out of town flower buys are always a gamble.  Go with 1800FLOWERTIME for a generic handful of weeds from the garden?  Or choose a local florist directly and find out what's fresh.  I go for the latter, with the help of Yelp, of course.  Yelp led me to Strelitzia for a same-day delivery of thank-you flowers for a friend who went out of her way for me during my visit to Davis.  She asked plenty of questions about what I wanted, and I even chose some of the flowers (I like Stargazer Lillies and Tuberoses for the sweet smell that can fill a room).  Delivery on the UC Davis campus was about two hours after I placed the order!My friend snapchatted the results to me later that day and, not to brag, but it looked pretty good.  King pin status assured, with flowers from Strelitzia.    A hit. Have used a lot of local florist in solano and yolo county areas for anniversary, birthday and just because. Visited the strelitzia flower company a few times while in the davis area. Was impressed with thier variety and freshness of flowers. It was that wonderful time of the year for my anniversary and decided to give Strelitzia flower Company a try. I used Strelitzia Flower Company  for the flowers for my son's wedding 3 years ago and had an excellent experience. I am again doing wedding flowers, this time for my niece. At her suggestion I ordered through an online service. The wedding is in a week. Yesterday I received a confirmation they were shipped. Just a little early.  Last night I received an updated delivery date, the  morning of the wedding.  I called the online company and got nowhere.  So I emailed Strelitzia Flower Company trying anything in my panic.  This is Sunday at 7:30 am before Memorial day.  I was surprised  when at 8:30 am Dean answered with "Yes we can."  What a breath of fresh air!  By 10:30 he had put in an order for the 300 roses I needed! As a long time resident of Davis Strelitzia has been a part of many special occasions for me from school dances, high school and college graduation leis. So when we decided to get married in Forest Hill, CA. I looked at the preferred vendors from the venues list but knew that I could get a better price buying by the stock from Strelitzia . I couldn't beat the convenience either right by my parents house and right off of highway 80.I started a Pinterest board to gather ideas of pictures i liked (and my Mother). I called to set up a appointment with Tish who was our contact from start to finish she was very easy to work with since i live in the bay area we communicated mostly by email. She has the skills for a in meeting person she was able to meld my ideas, our budget, colors and theme and my moms ideas. She took like ten pictures that I had for bouquet ideas and made something special for me.I even forgot to order several boutonnieres and was able to add them last minute. my mother picked the flowers for the tables up the day before and they were very helpful with at process. The bouquets were picked up the morning of our wedding and looked amazing. I had succulents that were in my bouquet that I planted after the wedding and they have been thriving. First time Yelper but had to start because I was so pleased with Strelitzia and their staff, (especially Tish!).  I went to them by searching on Yelp for flowers in the Sacramento area for my daughter's wedding.  I, like many others, had a budget to stick with for centerpiece flowers and I was so AMAZED at what they were able to provide within my budget!  We chose the flowers we liked, and they made sure they were represented in each of the 15 centerpieces that they made for us, and stayed within budget.  They also delivered to our venue in Sacramento and were on time!  I received so many compliments on the beauty and freshness of the flowers and they really made the tables look awesome!  Thank you Strelitizia for your excellent work!  I would definitely recommend you for any wedding or event in the future. I couldn't be anymore happier to stumble upon this place on my drive to Davis. This place was a very last minute thing for me and everything went smoothly. I totally agree about the fact that it's a waste of money, but when it comes to giving it to someone special, I wouldn't mind. Strelitzia did the flowers for my September 2014 wedding and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out! My husband and I  had to work within a fairly tight budget for the size of our wedding and Tish did a wonderful job helping us find solutions that would work within our budget. My bouquet and all the table arrangements looked amazing! We even needed one more boutonniere the day of wedding and didn't realize it until a few hours before the ceremony. I ordered my wedding flowers from Strelitzia and they were AMAZING!!!!  I searched all the flower wholesale shops in Sacramento thinking that Strelitzia was going to be expensive, on a whim I went in and found out that they are actually CHEAPER than many of the places I went to and are much BETTER QUALITY.  We had a consultation from a young lady there (I think she was a manager) she was sooo knowledgeable and put together the perfect bunch.  She figured out the amount of flowers we needed and got us a GREAT deal!  I spent a lot of time researching flower costs/value and I was afraid I was going to spend an arm and a leg on flowers to get anything that looked half decent.
