Delicious and great service. I don't know why we haven't checked out Strega earlier. It's so good and May he a new favorite. We had the octopus, short ribs, and more. All of it was amazing. Thanks Strega! We'll be back. More...

Had the octopus appetizer which was excellent. The use of smoked paprika really made a difference . Also had the calamari which we enjoyed as well. We tried the striped bass filet stuffed with crabmeat (a special) and it was truly outstanding. Very fresh. Also had the short ribs which were great as usual. More...

Maybe the lack of staff has affected this place recently. While the food is good the menu has been the same for years. I could accept that if the owner/manager/server (not sure who he was but acted in charge) wasn’t awful. He is rude and dismissive and rushed us. We inquired about why we had to purchase water and he got very defensive and said they don’t have a water filter so they use bottled water. Which we have to pay for! When the check came we wanted to split 3 ways with 2 cards and one cash. He started telling us to use cash for tip. When we re-explained what we wanted he got nasty and said credit cards take 2 weeks to get the tip. While I’m sorry to hear that it’s not really our problem and if he had been the slightest bit nice we could have entertained it. When he realized we weren’t budging he said “whatever” and walked away with our payment. Never going there again!!! More...

This is our favorite restaurant in Berkeley Heights. The food is excellent and the staff is great. They always go out of their way to try to accommodate any request and are very friendly. It's BYOB so we get to bring our own wine which is always great and helps keep the price down. The new outdoor area is also very nice if you enjoy the outdoor experience. More...
