We hired steve in 2017 as an architect based on TA Garners (builder) recommendation. Steve was very helpful in steering us in the right direction. Over a year we went from a screened in porch to a vaulted great room design and an extensive front entrance remodel. We had a number of meetings on site and regular email communication for a year. Steve steered us to a good set of modifications that should enhance the value of our home. We are in the process of hiring a builder as of 12/18 and will include before and after pictures if these reviews can be edited at a later date. Steve was very personable and had good advice. More...

Steve Johnson was the design architect on our condo redesign project. We took a first floor 1980s formal colonial liviing/dining/ kitchen and sitting rooms and transformed them into an open space contemporary living area.
This was approx. 1,000 sq. feet.
In addition to his expertise, Steve's communication skills are excellent, which means he makes a great partner for his clients. We had some very definitive concepts and elements that we wanted in our renovation and Steve made them happen.
He was also a great adviiser regarding the pros and cons of various choices and selections. He was always willing to do the research to answer questions on everything from cree lighting to cabinetry to grout and more. We were committed to making as many sustainable choices as possible within our budget, and Steve was invested in this process. We were very lucky to have partnered with him.

Janet and Steve make an awesome team! They are always looking out for what we want and not what is the easy way out. Always available and ready to answer our numerous questions.
They respected our thoughts and wants, but if they felt something may not work out despite all efforts, they were not afraid to tell us . I respect that !
We interviewed several builders, yet Janet and Steve offered us what we were looking for. Not a hard decision and very happy that we decided to go with them. Building a "home" is never an easy process. your dreams and fears are all rolled in one, yet Janet and Steve have made sure that we will be proud to call our house a "home".

I highly recommend doing business with this company, and I will absolutely use them again if a future need arises. The owners of the company and the construction firm they used were extremely professional, efficient, and reliable. Communication was excellent, and my questions and concerns were addressed and acted on in a timely manner. It was a very easy, stress free process, and I absolutely love my new sun room and downstairs half bath!
