I have had the pleasure of working with Jennifer in her shop for the last 6 months.  I am a Career Resource Specialist for a company called Work Opportunities Unlimited.  We help people with barriers to employment reach their career goals.I approached Jennifer last spring in the hopes of having one of my clients gain practical experience in floral design.  Without blinking an eye Jennifer suggested we come in the following week to start.  Since then Jennifer has been instructing my client in all aspects of floral design and the ins and outs of running a business.  The experience has been invaluable.  In the process I have seen Jennifer create the most beautiful designs for every occasion.  She not only uses unique materials and containers, her eye for design and detail is impeccable.  I have also seen how she cares deeply for each and every project, working with any requests and circumstances her customers can dream up.  If you are looking for unique, elegant and creative designs, give Stems a look you will not be disappointed! Jennifer did our June 2013 wedding, and she did a phenomenal job!  Not only did she strive to stay within our budget (offering us alternatives to keep the price down), she checked in with me regarding plant choices (did I still want the hanging amaranthus if it only came in red that time of year? ).  She'd clearly done weddings before, because she corrected my timetable so that she dropped off bouquets/boutonnieres in time for photos, set up the church in time for the ceremony, and arranged tables in time for the reception.  Nobody was around to greet her on the day of (things get hectic on your wedding day!) and Jennifer let herself in, put the bridesmaid bouquets in glasses of water, and found me in my bedroom with my maid of honor, to personally deliver my bouquet!  I would say she was simply amazing, but she just did my sister's wedding (a year and a half later) and proved herself phenomenal!  She is totally versatile; my wedding was an outdoors, Midsummer Night's Dream affair while my sister's was an indoor autumnal Boston Public Library-esque gig.  Both were so classy and professional, and so affordable!!P.S. I just read the really negative review, and I can only imagine a major misunderstanding went down for that engagement party.  Jennifer was totally upfront with me regarding pricing/down payments/etc..  I would happily vouch for Jennifer's reasonable, compassionate, dedicated character! We had the most beautiful wedding flowers for our daughters wedding this June in Maine.  Jennifer drove all the way up to our wedding location in the Boothbay region and the flowers were absolutely perfect!  The next bride loved them so much she offered to pay for them on our tables for her wedding the next day, but we wouldn't let her as I wanted to give them away to our guests and enjoy them at our house!  She did an amazing job!!!  I highly recommend her!!! Stems located in Winchester Center is an excellent flower shop. I live in Lexington and I stopped by here on my way home. The owner of the shop was extremely helpful and had a broad knowledge base of the various flower types that were in store . The flowers and arrangements in this store are top quality and is well worth driving from Lexington to Winchester the next time I am in need of flowers! More...
