Great music and amazing food. I'll be honest,  I was a bit in sticker shock. BUT! the food was INCREDIBLE.  To ask for a medium rare burger and actually get one is rare these days. The crab cake was full of crab and very light on breading. The salads were plentiful and tasty.  Btw, the burgers are HUGE. When, not if, you come, ask for John. I keep trying this place and keep being disappointed. It's so unfortunate. A while back my girlfriend and I went and had an awful experience. The owner was kind enough to send me a gift card so we returned. We then had an even worse experience. We went yesterday for the first time in like 2-3 years. Thought okay maybe they've worked out their kinks and finally we will have a great experience. We were sitting at the bar - it was not that busy. I noticed the people next to me asked for a happy hour menu which I was not given. So I asked for one. If you have a happy hour, why aren't you promoting it or willingly handing over a menu instead of it seeming like some kind of secret? I waited over 10 minutes for a refill on my wine that I had directly asked for. So finally I asked her again. No apology, no recognition that she was supposed to previously have gotten it... Onto the food. I don't know what this "cheese sauce" is being served with the pretzel. It is just gross. The consistency, the flavor. Spare yourself the calories here. I ordered the steak with truffle fries medium rare. It came out well done - sliced. As soon as she put the plate down I pointed out that it was not medium rare and she tells me to dig through the slices. No sorry - no pink anywhere. It was well done. It took them forever to send out a replacement so she got my glass of wine. Okay thanks.. The food was good when I finally got it. The banana bread pudding was also very tasty. I brought home a salad for my partner to go and he enjoyed that as well. The 3 is for good food. Everything else with this place is just meh.  The bathrooms are unisex and smell like an old men's room that hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I went to the Spring Cocktail Class and loved it.  We watched a person make 4 different drinks and were served a small plate dish to go with them.  One Vodka, Run, Tequila and Whiskey.  A really enjoyable night and hope to make the recipes.I also went another night to hear Paper Jame play. What a bad experience! Went there today with my wife my mother and my baby daughter. It's was so disappointing the food was terrible I ordered fish and chips my food came extremely overcooked the fish was completely gone it was solid Rock fried dough! ! Worst thing I've ever being served!! The waiter came and apologized and replaced my food with a new one this time it was undercooked full of oil and the fish inside undercooked and not to mention that the fries were to brake your teeth I'm  certain they refried the same fries and became rocks!! Busy afternoon lunch appeared to be understaffed as there was only one waiter for the entire out door seating area. Waiter was nice and informed but everything was delayed. We came for the wagyu burgers and left disappointed. One burger we got was ordered a basic cheese burger gluten free and medium. The burger was WELL done. The gluten free "bun" was actually a bagel. Very confusing. The second burger we got was a regular bun with bacon, asiago, and garlic aioli. The burger was also WELL done and it was soaked in the aioli, leaving no other flavor until I scrapped off most of the aioli. The cheese was also not fully melted. Highly disappointed in "Bergen's Best Burgers". Definitely not worth the price of $21+ each burger.Edit: we both had terrible stomach pains about 30 mins after leaving. More...

PROS: The staff here is very nice and helpful. They have an extensive drink menu and the food is good too. The prices were normal for the area and they have a room for the bar, another room for the restaurant portion, and a nice outside area. They are a hot spot for millennials during weekend nights  CONS: The bar area is absolutely cramped and the kitchen closes at 10pm. It's also difficult to find parking on the street when the neighborhood is jumping  OVERALL: It's a good spot that I enjoyed going to and I look forward to going again. Overprice food! Your request to beer I will serve your hot one. Chicken sandwich over cooked hard as a brick. A burger bland absolutely no seasoning. Go for the truffle Fry's and when you get his normal fries with a bit of Parmesan cheese on top sprinkle with a little bit of oil. Two beers two Sandwiches $75. Great service, food and cocktails, haven't had anything on their menu that wasn't awesome but I can highly highly recommend the short rib sandwich, pretzel spears, steel chopped salad, or their burgers. Food is always amazing. The waitress, Larysa is amazing and attentive every time too.. and now I always ask to sit in her section! Filthy dirty Bartender doesn't wipe down bar Between customers no disinfectant at all behind the bar Put full fingers inside dirty classes to bring to kitchen , then used same hands to make drinks with lemons and olives Goes in register touches money not once did he wash handsPours a beer with same hands then hands to customers. My husband and I just had a great experience at the Steel Wheel Tavern! We sat at the bar for a quick early dinner. I ordered the Fig Ol'fashioned and my husband got the Manhattan. So good! Then our Ahi Tuna came out. 5 slices of tuna and a decent scoop of slaw. Very crisp and delicious. Our food came out very quickly. The bottom of the grilled cheese got soggy very quickly, but the flavors were very good. My husband really enjoyed his burger. The truffle fries were the perfect level of truffle. Overall very good food and vibes from the Steel Wheel Tavern. Ordered the Short Rib grill cheese, the grill cheese short rib combo is something Ive never came across and was a delicious combo in the pallet. Bar was also a cozy feel with sports and stocks on the TVs (right up my ally) and fire place seating outdoors. Service was on it, wasn't unattended. They had a multitude of beers on tap, IPA to mids.
