Worked with Ilya to custom make my kitchen table. We worked together to select a slab that would work best in our kitchen area that wouldn't take up too much space but would still give a nice pop to the area. They are very knowledgable and easy to work with. The table was completed a few weeks after we decided on all the specs. The delivery was quick and very professional. Statuswood is amazing! We wanted a nice custom size barn door for our living room & we are so glad that we found Statuswood. Illya & Natalia were nice enough to walk us around their showroom & show us different styles & designs of barn doors which made it easy for us to finalize on the style we really wanted. Best find EVA! As everyone else here raves... it's true. Craftsmanship, fine materials, attention to detail, RESPONSIVENESS and oh just good peoples! Ilys is a perfectionist, bright and creative.. i gave him my vision and he and the team created it and delivered a week ahead of schedule ... I Wanted a solid slab, live edge but just couldn't afford one... He took 5 boards and the table now looks like a solid slab, but within budget! Taking my design tweaks to his ironwork made the table... it's a stunning 9x4ft live edge table with legs wrapping around the top and inset flush.... it LOOKS like a million bucks! Status Wood is AMAZING! We wanted something special for our new breakfast nook and we also needed a custom size. I looked everywhere and so glad we found Ilya and Natalia! They were fantastic to work throughout the process:  discussing our existing furniture styles and the space;  reviewing the myriad of options for a base; selecting the wood slab to use; choosing the finish;  delivery & installation.  The end result looks incredible. We loved the look of the 'live edge', but because our space was small, we opted for a traditional squared frame. Ilya beveled the edge so that the 3" thickness didn't look too massive - it came out great. Natalia was incredibly helpful in helping us select the slab to use and assuring that we picked one with lots of 'movement' in the grain.Even though they were swamped with many projects, they knew we were trying to get the table in time for a family event and they made sure it was delivered ahead of schedule - less than 4 weeks in total for the whole process.The cost was extremely competitive - cheaper than what we would have paid for a mass produced table at most furniture stores and created exactly to our specifications. We essentially have a functional PIECE OF ART that everyone who has seen it loves. This hybrid furniture shop and woodworking complex is incredible. The pieces that the crew produces are beautiful and ready to take from the showroom at very reasonable prices. Alternatively they have a huge selection of raw wood slabs of different kinds that you can take home raw, or have commissioned into a finished piece.Moreover the owner and workers here are super friendly and accommodating, and will offer to customize / go out of their way to help you.Definitely check this place out! My husband and I had been discussing getting a console table for our entryway for a while, but every time we went furniture shopping we couldn't find exactly what we wanted. After a few times we figured we might as well just get something made to order, so we could get the details right on something we planned to keep in our house for a long time.I had reached out to a few companies that made live edge furniture, but either got no response or was told that inventory was tight/unavailable. Some friends of ours had bought tables at StatusWood and so pointed us to them. Natalia was very responsive by email, and so we went to their showroom to talk more. As soon as we walked in realized they would be able to produce what we were looking for. Ilya was extremely helpful and patient, and after hearing what we wanted (including a piece of wood that would be a bit broader on one side to deal with a notch in our wall) brought out a piece of walnut lumber and gave us an idea of what the end product would look like. Two weeks later (which I thought was pretty fast turnaround for making an item from scratch!) we have our table and it is gorgeous. The combination of beautiful source material and excellent craftsmanship produced an item that we plan to display in our house for a long time.The experience from start to finish was so excellent that I plan on reaching out to potentially discuss some outdoor furniture after we complete an upcoming renovation. Absolutely in love with our new live edge redwood dining table & bench! We talked to Ilya for half an hour describing what we wanted, he was most helpful in discussing material, price, and importantly the leg options. They had two pieces of the redwood slab in the 6' size we wanted for us to chose. Fyi his wood is also sourced within 100 miles of the area - from fallen trees to reclaimed wood aka sustainable. Eta 2 weeks since they had the pieces... but 6 days later, the final piece was delivered and assembled in our home! There was some cracks: a major one was stabilized with a bow tie inlay, and smaller ones filled with black resin to match our legs. The bench had one secured with a bolt and glue, but not filled to retain the natural look. Ilya gave us exactly what we wanted when looking for a matching bench - wide, thick, live edge on both sides = perfect!My husband was skeptical about paying extra for a customized live edge wood table however we visited their workshop and he was swayed. We compared the product to what you could purchase at the local furniture stores (IKEA, Scandinavian Designs, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Living Spaces, Macy's, Crate & Barrel) & other custom made studios. We purchased our custom table from StatusWood a few months ago. It's always a bit difficult to imagine what the table will actually look once everything comes together, but we picked it up and looked great. After a while, I realIzed we really weren't in love with it and wished we had chosen different legs. Luckily, the legs we wanted were cheaper than the ones we ended up ordering, but we figured we would have to pay for the swap anyway. I messaged the owner here on Yelp and they said they could swap them out at no charge within a week. I asked if I should bring the table by or what the right steps might be and they said they would come to ME and replace them as soon as the order comes in. Seriously. At no charge. I'm not sure what other business would do this. I'm so thankful for having found them and will ensure to purchase all my custom pieces from them from now on! Elia and his team do phenomenal work. We had a custom mantle made for our fireplace and they installed it today. He was one of the only wood vendors that called me back and actually responded. It's oddly difficult to find someone to do that. We were going to wrap an 18 foot entry beam with Doug fir but my ceiling wasn't completely straight so it didn't look ideal. StatusWood is amazing.  I knew exactly what I wanted our dining room table and bench to look like, but hadn't found it after 4+ months of searching.   They were able to show me an example of walnut finish and geometry in their showroom that was just like what I wanted. They told me it would take up to three weeks to get the job done, but called me back 4 days later saying it was ready.When they delivered it and set it up, the people were great.  There was a minor finish issue on the top of the table surface that got missed, so they came back out and made it perfect the next week.Awesome quality, awesome customer service.  And every day I come home and see my table it puts a smile on my face. After calling over 10 woodworking shops up and down the California coast, I am so glad that I found Statuswood! We were searching for a walnut live edge dining table for our house and Natalia and Ilya really came through on multiple factors - quality of work, speed of delivery, and priced within my budget! I can't recommend StatusWood highly enough! From my initial consultation via email to my in-person meeting in the showroom to delivery of the final product, everyone I interacted with from StatusWood was wonderfully helpful, thorough, and accommodating. The team ensured I got exactly what I wanted: a rustic wood dining table with lots of grey tones and a sculptural steel base. Given that it was a custom order with detailed specifications, I was (pleasantly!) blown away when Ilya advised that I would receive the finished table in just one week. Not only did I receive a beautifully crafted table within the estimated timeframe, when I indicated that it was a bit too shiny/finished for my taste, the team was more than happy to pick up the table and sand it down to a more primitive look -- all at no additional charge. We commissioned a live edge table with a bench from Statuswood in mid-July. Ilya gave us a quote right on the spot and it was very competitive and reasonable.  Statuswood has their own wood and metal shop, so everything from design to fabrication is done in-house. We briefly talked about what type of look and wood we wanted, met at the mill they source from in Oakland to pick out our slab and they got right to work!  We wanted a cut out in the center of our table but couldn't immediately decide on the design of the cut out.  We worked through several iterations of the cutout with Natalia, and she was very patient with our indecision and wanting to try different templates out.  We were aiming to have the table as the center piece in our new home and wanted it in time for our housewarming.  Natalia, IIya and their team finished and delivered the table a week before we were expecting it!!  Their two guys that delivered the table and assembled it, were great and very respectful in our house -- protecting the floor and cleaning up after themselves.  They even prepared the final touches on our table with the center cut out, filling it with rocks and succulents as the center piece.  Statuswood is such a refined operation, full of class and integrity.  We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Statuswood.  You will be beyond pleased with the service, price, process and your final product.  We have every intention of making them our go-to company for such custom pieces. I had been searching for the perfect dining table for about 6 months. At this point most table start to look alike. The theme of my house was ultra modern but we needed something to keep it warm and grounded. To cut the story short we finally stumbled upon Statuswood. I was impressed on my first visit. They showed me around their working place where I saw several pieces that were in progress.Looking at their inventory and talking to Natalia And Ilya (FANTASTIC OWNERS) they were able to get a feel of what I was going forThey brought me over to a van and showed me this piece of raw black walnut and it was instant I liked itCraftsmanship - after they were done it was more fabulous than I had anticipated6 months after they delivered it I called to ask for some recommendation on how to take care of some imperfections in the woodThey came over to the house fixed it themselvesIt was natural wood and it definitely was not their fault. I absolutely appreciate the effort15 months pass. Because the table was beside a floor to ceiling window. And we didn't have drapes at the time the table had warped a bit. Again I asked for advise on maybe adjusting the legsThey sent over people to get the table back to fix it. The table was close to 200 lbs. imagine having to take it back to the shop. Wanted to close an open master bedroom/master bathroom with double barn doors. Ilya responded quickly and came in person to give an estimate for this custom job. He was very easy to work with and kept me informed by text during the process. Final invoice was in line with original estimate and no surprises. Project was completed on time as estimated too. Doors were absolutely beautiful and he created a header out of the same reclaimed redwood as the doors to match. The guys came out to my home for exact measurements  and gave me recommendations. I had been searching for quite a while to find a dining table that I liked and I was having no luck. I was looking for a rustic look but made with real wood. These tables are around but all the one's I found were far too big for my space. I originally found Status Wood on Craigslist and was able to locate their website from there. I was immediately impressed and filled out the online contact form. I called within 24 hours and was told I needed to come check out there showroom in Foster City. I made the trip to Foster City that weekend and fell in love with one of the reclaimed table tops they had displayed. Of course it was too big but Ilya was able to make a size to fit my space perfectly! They include delivery which was perfect and I had my table in my condo in less than 2 weeks. We decided to buy a custom dining table made from reclaimed wood. We looked at the usual stores and sites. We found some nice designs but nearly everything was made of fake veneer wood. We searched for wood workers in the area and found Status Wood. We checked their reviews and gallery photos. We dropped by and told Natalia what we were looking for dimension-wise and deisgn-wise. We went through the showroom for ideas. She gave us prices based on wood type as we walked thru. We had a budget we needed to stick below. After it was all done, she showed us a table she had in the workshop being done for another customer. My gf loved it. We wanted one just like it. But of course, in our dimensions. She told us the time frame to fabricate it and the perks included with the price. We were sold. About 2 months later, here we are with our dining table with matching bench inside our home. Where to begin. The level of craftsmanship is phenomenal. I have had five pieces done by StatusWood - a dinner table, coffee table, credenza, dog bed, and a bar cart. Next up is a book shelf and bedroom set, then I will need a bigger place. When I first found them online I decided to go to their shop in Foster City. Illya was not available, but drove back to meet me during his lunch. Model customer service. If this were this a restoration hardware I would be on the phone for an hour long customer service hold. Right away his passion for his work was obvious, his excitement in designing my furniture to my liking was great. Illya helped me to pick materials, dimensions, and direct me toward the best solution for my budget. Being as I had just moved to the area, and had out of town guests coming he helped me with a quick turn on the furniture to make sure we were not sitting on the floor! Delivery to my place in Campbell was greatly appreciated, as was the set up. More than anything, though, they just do not make them like this anymore. That extends from the product to the people at Statuswood. Illya and Natalia, the rest of the team, are all so hard working, and friendly. I wont be shopping anywhere else, and I hope they deliver outside of the bay area if I ever move. 10 out of 10, would HIGHLY recommend. More...

I recently was looking to do a mantel for our fireplace and had been working with someone out of state. There was a lot of back and fourth and long story short this guy specialized in mantels and couldn't provide what I wanted. I stumbled across Statuswood's web site and took a drive from Santa Cruz area to Foster City to see what they could do.Elya was not there but his staff was very accommodating and allowed us to look at some work. I gave the dimensions of the mantel and barn door I wanted and provided pics of the detail I was looking for . Elya got back to me quickly with a quote with was very reasonable and finished the work in 3 days including delivery from Foster City to Scotts Valley.It was exactly what we were asking for and once I get the job completed I will post pics of the finished work. I showed them a picture and within a few weeks Ilya sent me some photos of a slab that might work. I went to see it, we designed the finishings together, and it was delivered a few days later. These guys are the best- I worked with Natalia and Ilya to have them make me a custom reclaimed redwood desk for my home recording studio. I gave them the dimensions and kept in close contact to make sure we were always on the same page, and the result is better than I imagined- I LOVE this desk! The fun part of our remodel was working with Natalia and Illya to bring to life an idea we had in our minds for a one of a kind wrap-around island bar.  We do a lot of entertaining and love dinner parties where it's like being in a restaurant chef's kitchen - your guests sit around the kitchen as several courses are being whipped up in real time.  They were amazing in concocting our custom 10 foot x 10 foot "L-shaped" reclaimed bar and matching wrapped beam.  Even after it was installed the dynamic duo came out to inspect the installation..they thought a few things could be improved upon - so they redid the entire bar and came out the following week to reinstall.  Who does that?  They work quick, and their pricing is not budget breaking!  Can't say enough good things!And to boot - they designed a matching mantel to perfectly contrast our new cement fireplace.  Our great room is amazing thanks to them! This review is long overdue.  Last year we purchased a reclaimed wood table from Statuswood for our conference room after looking at several suppliers who were overpriced or pretentious or both, they were a breath of fresh air.  Reasonable pricing (granted it is not "cheap" to get a reclaimed table as a work of art, but it was not dramatically more than other conventional table options!) and actual creativity.  They were able to incorporate my need for pop-up power and a/v plug inserts in the table and were more than happy to do so.  Everyone who sees it gives major compliments and we always say it was from them!  We of course decided to get another for our other meeting room.  When we were having issues with the finish, they took it back and put a durable polyurethane, no questions asked, no cost.  They also gave us some awesome coasters!  They were always kind, always fast, always on time, and accommodating.  100% A+++. I went in today looking for a few pieces of rustic looking wood to use for food photography. When we told IIlya what we were looking for, he walked us outside into a storage unit full of old rescued wood, and told us a few boards would be no cost, and to take whatever we wanted! We ended up selecting about 8 pieces of wood, and when I insisted we pay for them, he refused, and simply said to spread the word. We are so glad we found Status Wood!!We were looking for a very specific style counter height reclaimed wood dining table to match our current decor theme in our home in San Francisco. After almost a year of searching for the perfect place (we checked out a ton of places including Etsy), we found Status Wood. From the day we first interacted with Natalia and Ilya, we knew we would be able to find exactly what we were looking for. Ilya spent some time going over exactly what we needed including the color, dimensions and the type of legs. He was extremely helpful and showed us a lot of different slabs in a course of a month before we finally zeroed down on the perfect one.
