Terrible atmosphere. All young college kids blasting terrible music, and feels like you're at the club. It's all UMass powerlifting, so it's very clique-ish. No Olympic lifters or strngmem train here even though there is equipment for it. Not coming back to this daycare. More...

Good gym. Not your typical PF or BF. Real gym for real results. Owner is friendly, informative, and helpful. ended up not joining due to medical reasons. Wish I could have.

I was in Westford, MA this past week for a training class for work. I didn't want to not train for the week, so I searched the web for a gym closest to my hotel because the local LA Fitness gyms were not close enough as far as I was concerned. SBC came up in the area by my hotel, so I figured I'd check it out after class/work Monday evening. I had discussed over email with Bobby paying for a week, and his cost for the week was acceptable. I thoroughly enjoyed my week at SBC. Bobby and his staff are sincere, genuine and extremely friendly, including the dogs! When work takes me to Westford, I'll spend my week training at SBC!Thanks Bobby! More...

When I moved to the area I was looking for a new non-commercial gym. I was looking for a place with a culture of getting better and the equipment with which to make it happen. Shortly after moving to the area I walked into the SBC and was greeted by the owner Bobby. Before discussing prices or anything of the such he gave me a walking tour of the facilities and asked me questions about myself and what I hope to achieve. His interest in his clients and members is genuine. He also does personal training sessions and you can tell from the man's physique he knows what he's talking about. So listen up. The facilities are perfect for improving yourself in anyway you see fit. Here you will NEVER have to wait for a squat rack haha. The gym's equipment definitely caters to the strongman/powerlifting/Olympic lifting crowd but it's not at all intimidating. Bobby has instilled a culture of family and respect. It's a very close community that you will be accepted into almost immediately. Even if I don't know the person someone is always ready and willing to give me a spot or give me some advice. There is also an on site Physical Therapist/Trainer named Brett. After dislocating my shoulder I wanted to get back into lifting heavy so I had a consultation with Brett. He set me down and went over my medical history, went through an examination of range of motion and strength. Then he proceeded to show me exercises to ease back into the lifting world and make sure I don't risk reinjury. It's been a year since the injury and so far so good. Brett also does training seminars and has a YouTube channel you should subscribe to. Also occasionally Bobby/Brett will bring in there dogs. Deadlifts & dogs? Can you ask for anything better? There is no other gym I would rather train at than SBC. It simply has the best equipment, community and personnel. More...

Excellent gym with tons of strength training equipment. This is a gym for people of all ages and you will see that from it's members. Barbell exercising is important for every person as it makes you harder to kill than weak people and more useful in general. Most gyms map their floors with one squat rack and dozens of elliptical. Bobby has his gym decked out with multiple power racks, some of the best benches I've used, and a variety of different bars, implements, and gets new equipment when requested by his customers. Strongman training had been something I was interested in and this gym had everything to get a beginner started and able to compete. More...

This is my second home. A great atmosphere with a bunch of hard-working people who motivate you to better yourself. Owner is always looking to improve the gym for his customers. Whether you are into strongman, powerlifting, olympic weightlifting, or strength and conditioning programs, all the necessary equipment is here to train. They have some nationally ranked athletes who train here that are motivation enough, working out next to them. More...

Only time in my life I have stuck with something for so long. I decided when I hit 40 it was time to try something new - this was 3 years ago and I have never looked back! This speaks volumes to Bobby and his programming and atmosphere of the facility. Never in my life did I think I would be picking up and putting down super heavy stuff but I can honestly say it is one of the best things I have ever done. The first step in can be scary, but after that it is nothing but amazing. More...

I had to share on Bobby's Facebook page. I have been working out with Bobby for over a year and half. I have lost almost 10 pounds since the beginning. But the real accomplishment is in how I feel. My lower back pain and sciatic is almost non existent. I now have more muscle tone in my upper body. That even makes my daughters jealous. I have more energy and can walk/run longer distances. So do yourself a favor and check it out! What have you got to lose? More...

"I loved it"makes it seem like I left it-but I'm still here and I still love it. As a Crossfit convert, I was skeptical at first. However when I finished my initial 8 week program, I started to see definition in different muscles. I also saw more plates on the bar, which broke me out of that Crossfit rut of Rx weights for workouts. I am so thankful to Bobby and all the committed members of SSC for keeping me motivated and inspiring me on the daily. I highly recommend "our" gym, you won't be disappointed! #fitfam More...

So was a HUGE skeptic before starting at Spindell SC. The martial arts gym I go to used to neighbor Spindell, and one day my curiosity got the better of me and I signed up for the classes. The group classes are super- the trainer/owner Bobby keeps things moving and does a super job combining strength with overall conditioning. He listened to my goals and was able to tweak things. I had NO clue what I was doing, but that wasn't a problem. We started on the basics and form/safety.The other people in the classes are awesome, and range from newbies to really experienced athletes. It's a really fun environment where everyone motivates each other. After a couple months of the classes, I'm now trying individual training that has a martial arts focus. Bobby definitely did his research on my sport and caters the workouts 100% towards better performance. The prices may be a little higher than the big chain fitness centers, but you are paying for extremely high quality training and guidance. Totally worth it!! More...

Truly the best workout routine! Started a couple months ago, and it has quickly become an addiction! Bobby switches things up and seems to be able to keep the workout an individual one even when there are multiple people doing it. I have been looking for a very long time for something that would keep me motivated to continue, and this is it. Strongly suggest! More...
