We love visiting the Spicy Food Truck whenever it is at Hudson Valley Brewery, which is right around the corner from us. The jerk chicken is delicious and flavorful, and we love the hot sauce that it comes with! The rice is always perfectly cooked, and I adore the sweet plantains. The tostones are good too. Came here after escaping the long lines for shake shack. My husband and I were glad we did. We came across Spicy Restaurants which was only a few minutes walk further from shake shack. We had split an ordered of the blackened chicken combo with sweet plantains and green rice with home made spicy sauces on the side. We were very satisfied with and filled afterwards. Definitely would come back and recommend everyone else that's also shopping around Woodbury commons. More...

Spicy Restaurants catered our wedding reception, and they were so great. The food was loved by all, and I can't say how easy they were to work with and how nice they were. On our menu was the coconut shrimp, whole fried tilapia, and beef chimichanga. Everyone loved all three. We also had the caesar salad, green rice, fried sweet plantains, and tostones, which were all amazing. On the 4th of July, the power failed all over 'Putnam Valley' so we headed to the 'Jefferson Valley Mall' to cool off and were REWARDED by this delicious food! His 'Food Truck' painted black, is parked right in front of the 'Main Entrance' by the fancy 'Stone Rose Steakhouse'. The chef, Lawrence Ofori, could not have been nicer to us.My wife is very, very fuss and hates most fast food, but she loves her 'Spicy Food' so I figured it was worth a shot.Lawrence, who's from West Africa (Ghana), warned us that his 'Chicken Wings' were VERY spicy, and that we might want to stay away from the 'Red Sauce', but we tried both and just loved them!The 'Green Sauce' was amazing, and pretty spicy, but the 'Red Sauce' was excellent as well, and yes I must admit a bit hotter, but if you enjoy 'Indian Food' you'll like that one as well.We also tried the 'Fried Sweet Plantains' marinated with ginger, which was very tasty, but tasted more like a dessert to me.We loved it sooo much, that on Saturday, I went back and got three more orders of those wings, "To Go".If you l like your 'Wings' Â a bit crunchy, ask for them well done.
