My new favorite restaurant in Abilene! We’ve been here 5 times and every time is phenomenal. I’ve tried the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and chicken korma. They were all creamy, flavorful, delicious, and not spicy. My 1 year old baby liked it too. My husband has tried Chicken Vindaloo, also the Lamb Vindaloo and Spicy Indian curry. Delicious!! The chef at Spicy India really knows what they’re doing. My husband and I travel for business and we’ve eaten at at least 2 dozen Indian restaurants. This one is top marks.The garlic naan was the best we’ve ever had, hands down. The okra masala was a little too big a flavor punch for me, but my hubby’s lamb gongura was delicious. Decided to try this place today and I'm so glad we did! I've never tried Indian food before so I was kind of lost about what to order. Both the waitress who took our order and the gentleman who works up front were very helpful and kind, taking the time to answer all our questions and make recommendations. We ordered the chicken 555 for an appetizer. The sauce is delicious - both sweet and spicy with just the right amount of heat. For my entree, I chose the vegetable biryani, which was delicious. Plenty of vegetables, very tasty, just enough spice to be enjoyable but not overwhelming. My son had the goat and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I also had a taste of his dish and it was very tasty. This is authentic Indian cooking at its best!They have a menu covering a nice selection of chicken, lamb, fish and yes, goat. There is also a wide selection of vegetable curries and appetizers. Lassi is a woderful drink to cleanse the pallet or just to enjoy to wake up the senses. A wide selection of interesting adult beverages are yours to choose from as well as iced tea and chia tea. You gotta love chia tea. I tried the lamb curry. This was prepared and brought to your table by gracious staff and served in a timely manner. The wonderfully cooked chunks of lamb meat were mixed into expertly flavored curry sauce. The sauce and lamb coalesced into a medium spicy curry that you will enjoy and remember for a long time.
