What do you love most about your job?
I love working with small business owners and entrepreneurs. I chose that path for myself at an early age (19) and have been working on growing and building businesses in some capacity for the past 17 years. My first business was a coffee shop and when I owned it, I wished that I had the resources to hire all kinds of support. Now I am delighted to be able to craft the solutions I was looking for at the time for small businesses.
The reason I love working with small businesses is I believe they are the heart of our economy. We've all heard the statistics of small businesses failing and I delight in working closely with business owners to support them in avoiding those statistics. Have you ever heard of hidden profit? Hidden profit is one of the pieces of financial analysis that I specialize in. It is exciting to watch small business thrive and flourish and I am honored to be my client's trusted partner during that process.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We are passionate about helping small businesses succeed. Our passion came from our own experience owning small businesses. There just aren't enough hours in the day to get it all and we wished we had access to resources that were affordable that could have helped us move forward. We started Spero to come alongside small businesses to support them with bookkeeping, accounting, financial advising, optimizing cash flow, and really understanding what the numbers mean. We provide reporting that allows you to not just see how you have done in the past, but project into the future and make the decisions you need to make as business owners.
