This place is awesome! We went here 4 times during the week we were there. It's good. Tried lots of samples and plenty for every beer taste. We stopped here while road tripping. What a nice find. Good service and my beer aficionado husband pronounced the beer good. We has crispy onion rings and a flatbread like a cheeseburger. Super satisfied and they have a loaded tater tots item that sounds like beer drinking food. Oh AND the beer was good. We liked the rauchbeir and the minimal visibility NEIPA and the Rappahanock brown ale. Too bad we still have to drive home. More...

We walked in and sat at the bar, Hannah was our server for the afternoon. She was awesome! We chose the first three beers for our flight and was having a dilemma about what to chose as the fourth. We were tossing up the idea of trying the dark beer, but we usually don't care for those. Hannah recommended it, saying it wasn't like other dark beers. So, the first four on the menu became our flight sample. They were all very good, even the dark. The Sunken Road was my absolute favorite, I could taste the banana note in it, I loved it. The food was delicious and those Brussels sprouts are still calling my name. Brussels and Beer sound like a great afternoon for me. I can't wait to go back! More...

Spencer Devon hosted my promotion ceremony. Chef Charles did and amazing job. The food was delicious, the presentation was perfect and all of the guests were talking about how good it was. I couldn’t have asked for more. Lindsay was super nice and helpful and the bar staff was extremely attentive. I definitely chose the right place to do my ceremony. The brewery went above and beyond to provide space, an extra bartender, the chef, a sound system- everything. I was blown away and I am grateful for their support. My go-to brewery if you want something to eat as well.  Wide variety of beers compared to brew pubs. My personal favorite is the Witches Pond.  Dark. Farmhouse Ale but my wife prefers the 3-4-5 Pilsner.  Try a flight or two then pick for yourself. The food here is pretty dog gone good. My favorite is the steak taco!! But then again try a couple different at your table and share a bit to find your favorite. The people here make the place.  I just moved to FXBRG and they made me feel right at home.  It does get a bit loud at peak times due to many hard surfaces so don't expect a way chill environment ... unless you go at off times as I like to do So give it a try and judge for yourself. This is for the beer (although I we had food too)Great local brewpub serving a variety of beer, and more than just the popular hazy New England IPA. This my favorite was actually the Bock and the Farmhouse Ale, and I loved both so much.  Very drinkable.Also ordered food which was a bit slow to receive but was tasty nonetheless. Food was good and comforting and enough sop up the alcohol but you come here for the beer and not the food. Tacos were good but standard and the fried pickle batter was again good but not earth-shattering. Loved that the black bean sliders were hand made but needed a bit more sauce.Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely a place to hit for a craft beer lover. More...

From the murals on the walls outside to the food and drinks..we loved Spencer Devon. I don't like beer but my husband and daughter do! I was pleasantly surprised when the server showed me the cocktail menu! I ordered the Old Fashioned...yum!! We ordered a couple of appetizers: the loaded nachos with chili and topped with pimento cheese, jalapenos and sour cream and the Reuben egg rolls with pastrami, swiss cheese and sauerkraut deep fried. I decided to have my 30th birthday here recently. We had a little over 25 people and the Spencer Devon staff handled it like champs. We worked out the details with them a month in advance, and the day prior we picked flights and appetizers to be available on the tables for our guests. The craft beer was awesome. I enjoyed their Belgian blonde and farmhouse ale. Everyone enjoyed the beer on tap. The appetizers were amazing and we received a lot of compliments. I heard a lot of "I've never been here before, but we're definitely coming back", which I hope is true. This establishment is deserving of your time if you're going out. Great spot downtown with a variety of awesome beers. They rotate some choices with the change of season so there's always something new to try.
