What’s your signature dish?
Our signature dish would probably be our Cranberry Chicken. Boneless grilled chicken marinated in an apple, orange, and thyme mixture topped with a sweet cranberry chutney. Pairs great with our roasted potatoes and charred broccolini. As well as, our strawberry royal for dessert.
What do you love most about your job?
We love it when we hear our client and their guest compliment us on of service and food.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Hidden in the trees of Black Forest, is an Inn that has been hosting companies and families for more than 20 years. Enter a young chef from the bustling city of Denver, who came in and rocked the kitchen's world! Bethany Young and Jason Douglas decided to take Jason's family business and expand it to include catering. For years the Hideaway Inn has given hospitality to those who came. Now it is time to bring the hospitality to others.
Special Thyme catering was made to bring the people of Colorado Springs, Monument, and more a memorable menu for their significant events. Everything from office meetings/parties, baby/bridal showers, graduation parties, and weddings we are eager to help make it a Special Thyme!

Is the most cost effective of the services that we offer. Can be utilized for drop-off of serviced events. Gives a variety for guest to chose from and can become a touch more formal when paired with a plated salad or passed appetizers.
