Been to this place twice now and both times have had a variety of the appetizers and 5 different pizzas.  The consistency of the pizzas from their wood fire over is impeccable.  The quality of the ingredients and pairing of the flavors is pretty dynamite.  Beers are good micro selection with some cans of more progressive beers if needed.  Seating is a bit strange with only a small area inside and the rest under cover outside with heaters.  I'll take the pain for this quality of pizza.  Parking is harsh, good luck. Spark Pizza is such a wonderful addition to downtown Redmond.  I love the pizza here, especially the crust.  Somehow, they have managed to find the perfect balance between crispy and crusty pizza crust, and the soft, tender chew of Neopolitan crust.  Plus, the bottom is dusted with cornmeal, and that makes me happy every time.I have now been here about 3 or 4 times, and while I have tried the mushroom and the buratta pizzas, my hands-down favorite is still the pepperoni (aka Honey, Spice, and Everything Nice).  The spicy honey is EVERYTHING.  It truly makes the pizza.  However, next time, I am going to have them add a bit of ricotta as well.  (My mom tried that on a different pizza and it was so fluffy and light and sweet, and I thought it might make the pepperoni perfect...)  My family and I usually share the chop salad, but since there were 5 of us, we also tried the caesar salad, too.  It does say on the menu that the dressing has charred jalapenos, and while forewarned is forearmed, I was still not expecting such SPICE.  It was good, for sure, but HOT.  Not something you are expecting with a salad, but anyway, now you know.  (It does come with boquerones, which are more like lemony tuna strips than anchovies - FYI).  For dessert, the cannoli trio cannot be beat!  I love the combination of strawberry (courtesy of freeze-dried strawberries), nutella and pistachio.  And if you want, you can eat them separately or scoop them together into the perfect bite.  Try to sit outside if you can, even if it is freezing.  They have VERY effective space heaters hanging from the ceiling, as well as fuzzy warm blankets in the winter.  You can't beat the reflection of the cafe lights and candles off of the transparent tent covering the patio.  It is cozy and lovely! I went here a couple of times with friends. They have nice ambiance, (mostly) outdoor seating, a friendly staff and an amazing pizza. They also offer gluten-free pizza. It does not taste as good as regular pizza but that's expected. We particularly liked a pizza called something like "Children of the Corn" - I'm not sure if they still offer it. I couldn't find it on their menu. One time we ordered cheese pizza for our friends kids and they brought one with a piece of pepperoni in it. Luckily, the kid pointed out that something doesn't look right (we're vegetarians). The owner was disappointed (in his staff) and got us a fresh one. It would be good to avoid such errors. More...

I have a hard time finding and liking good pizza in the Seattle area, so this place was a surprise and was a definite win! Went on a Friday night at around 6 PM. The wait time was already 30 minutes. Parking on the back is very little, so you can park at the next lot. We got the Spark chopped salad, Homage To Frankie's, Everyday I'm Trufflin, and the panna cotta. The salad was pretty basic and there was nothing spectacular about it. It could have used more dressing as well. The pizza were the highlight. Each pizza is big enough for one hungry person. It is wood fired pizza, which I'm a fan of. The Homage yo Frankies was delicious. They did not skimp out on the meat and topping. Although it got soggy a quarter of the way into it. But it was still delicious. The Truffle pizza was very hearty and delicious. The panna cotta was okay. The flavor and taste was there, just did not like the texture. Our server was super nice and friendly. Will definitely come back again to try the other pizzas. More...

Friday night, party of five. Everyone a bit hangry. No reservations so the wait was a bit, but quite worth it and obviously well earned. We got here right at 6pm and sat at about 6:45. Covered porch with soft light and heaters. Drinks available while you wait. The single GREATEST kids entertainment box of goodies I've ever seen. Guaranteed to console even the grumpiest monster in your brood. Once seated the staff kept it coming as fast as we could put it away. Lots of good local beers. Pizza is about 16" in diameter and very good. We had the Honey Spice and the Homage to Frankies. Reminds me of the best pizza my dad ever made for us kids growing up. Freshest ingredients. Soft, flavorful  and chewy crust. For desert: one of everything but I stole the Root beer float!! I'm perfectly content with sitting on my couch with delivery, but if I head out, this place is top of the list! Thank you!! More...

This restaurant is exceptional. I am so happy we have this gem in Redmond. I was treated to a Birthday dinner by two generous friends--when I mentioned Spark they immediately said it was a favorite place. So we knew to arrive early (well before 6 on a Saturday). And we all ordered a pizza of course! The more the better (especially for Birthday boy here). My favorite was "Homage To Frankie's" ($18) with Italian Sausage, Pepperoni Cups, Pickled Peppers, Red Onions, Mushrooms, Tomato Sauce. My friends ordered the "Honey and Spice and Everything Nice" ($17)--Pepperoni Cups, Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, and Spicy Honey. Honey on a pizza! Deliciously different and tasty, too. We also tried a Vegetarian pizza with Foraged & Found Mixed Mushrooms, Garlic pesto sauce, and Mozzarella ($18), which was good. And finally, the BIRTHDAY BOY got a free dessert! (That's me) I had the Obi-Wan Cannoli (3 Cannolis: Nutella, Strawberry, Pistachio. With Mascarpone, Ricotta) and I can't stop thinking about the wonderful texture (crunchy + sweet and creamy). What a treat! You can't go wrong here. Talk about a Happy Birthday. More...

Chewy, soft crust with the proper, subtle crispiness. And the little pepperoni cups are second to none!  Quality ingredients, friendly staff, cool vibe. My only complaint as a solo diner was that they wouldn't do half-and-half specialty pizza. I get why - the pizzas are fairly small maybe like 12-13", but some places will do this and it's especially nice when you're solo and want to try a couple things. Let's start with the most important fact, Spark has hands down the best pizza in Redmond.  In my opinion it really blows nearby competitors out of the water both with restaurant ambiance and pizza quality.  We got there slightly before they opened because we knew how popular the place currently is and didn't want to take any chances.  The staff seated us promptly and the customer service was truly above and beyond.  A special shout out to our server Josiah for recommending both an amazing beer as well as a great non-alcoholic drink to pair it with.  Well a shout out to him for that and just being an amazing server in general during our visit.  One of the owners , Carolyn (hope I spelled that right), was even nice enough to stop by our table to check on how we were doing and chat for couple minutes.  This little personal touch did not go unnoticed and it really made us feel appreciated as customers.  As a last note, we got the cannoli for dessert and they were incredible.  Apparently they have a pastry chef that comes in during the mornings when the restaurant is closed and makes at least some of the desserts in house.  I can't recommend this place enough!  The only reason I don't have a picture of our pizzas is because I couldn't keep myself from devouring it right away! I'm not a pizza eater unless I'm in New York or Italy, so the fact I decided to eat at Spark is a shocker (ask my hubby).  Generally, I'm afraid of pizza where the dough is, well, doughy .  I disike a prominent, dominating, bready dough.  Spark's pizza crust hit just the right balance of fire and brim, pillowy and light, and also thin.  It can use a bit more rigidity, which that alone would likely fail the NY test, but hey, I'm not in NY.The toppings and choices are modern.  If you don't see a standard pepperoni, just ask instead.  I fully embrace originality when it comes to pizza toppings.  Boss Hogg - Porchetta, Sausage, Pesto, Smoked Artichoke, Kale, Mozzarella, Garlic ConfitLet's just say my hubby ate the entire thing himself.Space Jam - Garlic Confit, Zucchini, Mama's Lils, Sheep's milk feta, Sausage, Squash Blossoms, Charred Scallion Pesto I replaced sausage and feta with mushrooms and artichoke hearts.  Delicious!!Request: A vegetarian pizza on the regular menu.  But they seem to be open with swapping out meat and cheese for veggies, so that's good enough for me too.The pizzas arrive surprisingly fast, about 10 minutes.  I was ready!  Our waitperson is Elise, and she was helpful and nice.  It was only her third day there!  The outside patio is huge with heaters.  It was a beautiful day to be sitting outside today. They don't take reservations.Their parking lot is small.  Next door is a paid lot from a Chase bank during off hours, or park further away on the street, no obvious parking on 164th.  Parking at Redmond Town Center is an 8 minutes walk. We had high hopes for Spark, and we were blown away. This might be the best pizza in the greater Seattle area.We biked to Spark on a Friday night, and we arrived at around 6:30 to a full patio and a packed indoor space. Picnic tables, small tables for two or three, and communal high tops were filled with families and group of friends. But the centerpiece of Spark is actually in the corner of the restaurant: a massive pizza oven, flaming hot and churning out pizzas faster than you can read the menu. Fresh pies, salads, and an especially tempting-looking chocolate chip cookie root beer float came flying through the service window. The hostess estimated a twenty minute wait, but we were seated in five. We scanned the menu, which is super veggie-friendly, and settled on a burrata pie and "children of the corn," a seasonal pizza with Oaxaca and cotija cheese, corn cream, roasted corn, shishito peppers, and salsa verde. We also grabbed a beer from the decent-enough selection of local bottles and cans. What followed was probably the quiestest and most impressive meal my girlfriend and I have ever eaten together. We probably spoke fewer than 100 words, most of which were "mmm" (is this even a word?) and "this is so good." Because both were true. The corn pizza, a perfect tribute to Mexican elote Street corn, was inventive and delicious. It was gone in about five minutes. The burrata pizza, with its fresh ingredients and perfect, fluffy dough, could go head to head with anything from Naples or southern Italy. Nearly perfect. Both pizzas hovered around fifteen dollars, which seemed more than reasonable for Spark's memorable additions to the craft pizza scene. Seating was super fast, the staff were excited and grateful for our visit, and the menu changes and sources differently throughout the year. We'll be back, very soon, for the rest of their menu.
