Sometimes it's the little details at an event that really make the difference. I knew I wanted string lighting for my event at the Carousel House, and I was so glad I hired SPARK. We hired SPARK for a corporate event at Dos Pueblos Orchid Farms. It is a unique venue for a corporate event because the location does not have wifi, has bad cell service, and has minimal electrical outlets. Â SPARK provided a very detailed quote and included things I forgot to even mention or didn't know we needed. They're very familiar with the venues in the area. They worked well based on the budget we had.Alex and his team also went to the venue for a site visit where we discovered a huge echo in the venue. They were creative and worked on ways to fix it. They also made sure our video wall wouldn't have a glare and we would have shading for when the sun hit directly on the greenhouse. Alex was also great as we had a bunch of performers who needed additional A/V support. He reached out to them and knew exactly what they needed.The team spent hours and hours setting up. It really was a huge production. On the day of, everything was great! The wifi went smoothly and the on-site techs were helpful. One thing to note is that our event was not completely waterproof so when it rained between day 1 and 2, SPARK had to make a few adjustments as some outlets weren't functioning and there was water on some things. They did so quickly before guests arrived.The before & after pictures don't even show all the work put into this! OMG! This company is AMAZING! I hold myself out to be a pretty creative person and I can't leave any party of mine undecorated. I wanted to give a rehearsal dinner for my son and his future bride and carry on the theme of "Kim Caught a Fisch" since our last name is Fischman. The kids chose the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum as their venue, and I wanted to continue the "fish theme". Calling Spark Creative Events was the best thing that I ever did. Stephanie, the creative mind behind this company did an amazing job with all of the restrictions that the Maritime Museum gave us. She transformed the room into an underwater palace filled with kelp and bubbles suspended from the ceiling and wavy ocean blue light, giving a feel of being under the water. The tables were decorated with fish bowls bowls filled with sea creatures, kelp and little  bouys floating on the top. Each table was pin lit with pin lights hiding from above. The lighting at our October wedding at Santa Barbara Women's club was so beautiful!It was pricey, however, we were smart with where we hung lights so we actually didn't need to get all they were proposing. We were very close to saying "no" to lights for budget reasons...but we are so glad we didn't. Even though we got married at 5pm and it was still light out, the rustic vibe was still very present. Then in the evening when people wanted to step outside from the reception for some fresh air, they were able to enjoy a cocktail (or two) under the gorgeous lighting! Worked with Spark for my wedding in Santa Barbara and the lighting was so lovely. I was almost not going to have any lights since I was worried about the budget, but I am so glad we got them! I love lights so it's only natural I had them for my special day. They arrived on time and were set up before the ceremony. When it came time to take the lights down they were super professional and brought out head lamps since the park venue is super dark without any lighting. WOW!!! LBPS did a fantastic amazing job lighting our venue. They were so easy to work with and really took the time to understand the logistics of our venue, as well as our overall vision and design. They were very professional and their equipment was top notch, there were no hiccups and they went above and beyond to deliver a truly gorgeous reception aesthetic. Lighting was very important to us and they really nailed it and it made a big difference. I highly recommend as much lighting as you can get all over your venue, it makes a huge impact and gives it that WOW factor. They also did draping which was perfect to soften the edges of the venue and really take it from average to amazing. I'm not sure if I can give Lani at LBPS a review that is glowing enough to convey how fantastic he was. We had some last minute changes due to terrible natural disaster/weather issues, and he was so professional and flexible that you would never have known we changed everything at the last minute! I would recommend him to anyone!

Getting married on a ranch in the middle of nowhere is not easy. There's no electricity, no lights, no nothing. Lani fixed all that and then some. I may have underbudgeted at the beginning of the planning process for lights, but I realized that he knows what he is doing, and boy did he do an amazing job! The venue was literally a fairy tale once the sun went down. String lights everywhere, uplights on the barn, a chiffon entrance swagging the barn doors, chandeliers above the bar - it was truly magical, and I don't think anybody else could have done it for the price he did. He was extremely helpful in helping me cut down on unnecessary costs and helping me get the most effective bang for my buck. I wish I had pictures to post here, but I have to wait for them :) Everyone talked about how amazing the venue looked and I still can't get over it. One friend it said it looked like we were dancing in a JJ Abrams movie - it was just surreal and amazing. Amazing!!! Lani and his team do an excellent job. It's mind blowing how lightning can enhance and change a space. I work as an event producer for a local catering company and have had the privilege to work with Spark over the years on many stunning events.
They are always very professional and our clients who have used their services have been very happy.
When it came time to plan my own wedding (3/18/17) I knew instantly that I wanted to work with Lani and his team. Leading up to the wedding Lani always promptly responded to my emails and had great recommendations. The onsite staff were friendly and detail oriented, everything was set up on time. When I entered the reception space I was blown away by how they had successfully executed my vision of watercolor shades of blue which completely transformed the space!!!
I would highly recommend Spark! They offer a great service and are competitively priced. You will not be disappointed with the results!

Amazing! We used SPARK to light our corporate holiday party at the Maritime Museum and the results were magical. I left the lighting specifics up to John and he took charge to light our space. He strategically placed spot lights made the space look elegant. The lenses of an old lighthouse light made for a great showcase chandelier. John and his team did a great job at setup and take down; we recommend this team without a doubt! Cristal did a great job of planning and made it easy for us when it came to payment. I ordered a few Chandeliers and some Marquee Lights for decor at our wedding at The Granada Theatre from SPARK. When I had any questions, they were super responsive and helpful. What blew my mind was when I walked into the theater and saw how perfectly everything was done! Everything looked just gorgeous. SPARK was probably the vendor I had the least contact with in the months leading up to my wedding, to the point that I didn't even know their company name had changed (from LBPS to SPARK) until our wedding week. Despite that I had everything I wanted on the day of my reception and it was BEAUTIFUL. Our reception took place up at Godric's Grove in Elings Park. The reception site is naturally stunning; however it is not naturally lit for evening events. We wanted to find a company that would make our reception functionally lit, but also beautiful, and all for a reasonable price -pretty tall order. SPARK delivered on all counts. When SPARK provided us with their initial plan for lighting the grove we worked with them to modify the plan until it matched our vision and budgets. They were gracious and cooperative, which we appreciated greatly. We also rented a lounge set from them, which was a huge hit with our guests. My greatest regret is that I don't have more pictures of our deck from the reception. SPARK provided beautiful lanterns that created a magical quality when the sun went down. SPARK even set up when we weren't there since our ceremony was at a different venue. I remember showing up at our wedding reception and thinking - this can't be ours. It makes me sad to think that anyone would skimp on lighting for their wedding or big event! LBPS absolutely MADE the ambiance something to remember. Our wedding had a tented reception in a (somewhat ugly) rented white tent because we had 300 people and it was outdoors in mid-December (rain!) ... but LBPS provided the perfect lighting and decor help to make the interior warm and inviting. Hire this vendor for the perfect sound system for your wedding!!!! Lani and Natalie made sure we had everything covered. ..wireless mics, mics on stands, DJ sound system, acoustic plug ins, mics, and reverb board for musicians....and a gr8 sound tech engineer for the duration!! Not only did he help transform a large space to a gorgeous intimate setting, he saved the day with the music when our planned band was detained. His talent is unprecedented. We just had an outside wedding and lighting was one of the things I initially tried to cut to save on the budget. BUT thank goodness my wedding coordinator encouraged me not to! The lighting LBPS did was OUTSTANDING! They really created the ambiance I was wanting and more! We really wanted to hang a chandelier from the tree we were getting married under, but the venue wouldn't allow it. So Lani used invisible wires and was able to make the chandelier appear as if it was hanging from the tree. It looked really great! I pretty much followed Lani's recommendations for lighting up the venue and he did a really great job. He lit up the main trees and vineyards beside our reception area. He hung string lighting across the reception area and it looks really great in all of the wedding pictures.
