Spain has the best food and view in OCMD! Even if you just sit at the bar, there’s a beautiful view of your turn to either side and the bartenders are fantastic! Scallop risotto is hands down my favorite dish and espresso martini is the best! I’ve tried almost everything on the menu - it’s all delicious! Great atmosphere, delicious food, and great service. The best views, atmosphere, and food in Ocean City! Last night we had our second dinner at Spain Wine Bar and let me tell you it was as good if not better than the first time we dined. (This is hard to do being our first experience was amazing). Both meals we had a wonderful server by the name of Deanna(I think this is correct) she was awesome and will ask for her in the future. My wife and I love to try a variety of things so the tapas menu is right up our alley. Between the two meals we’ve probably tried about 13-14 items and let me tell you I don’t think there’s one we wouldn’t order again. Last night we started with the Heirloom tomato salad with cucumber, goat cheese, and vinaigrette. I typically don’t like big chunks of uncooked tomato (it’s a texture thing), but it was so delicious I was eating fork fulls of the delicious tomatoes. Next we had the grilled asparagus and heirloom carrots with red pepper aioli and crumbled almond and let me tell you these carrots are a MUST, so much so that we ordered a second round later in the meal. Both veggies were super fresh and cooked perfectly. The calamari came next and has a super light and crispy breading. The fresh tender calamari pairs perfectly with the chipotle aioli. The Salmon Skewers with tzatziki sauce was my wife’s favorite from our first meal so we had to get this one again and it was equally as good. Next up we’re the braised short ribs and the scallop risotto. The short rib was tender and moist and on a bed of celery root purée which my wife would have sworn was mashed potato’s if it didn’t say otherwise on the menu. The risotto was creamy and plentiful with delicious mushrooms and topped with delicious fresh scallops.the risotto was made with more of a yellow rice (probably similar to what they use in the paella ) but was full of flavor. If you aren’t thinking we already had enough we didn’t stop there. By my error we ordered the short rib when we meant to order the pork belly so we said what the hell and ordered it and another order of delicious carrots. Let me tell you I am so glad we did. The pork belly might have been the star of the show last night. Beautifully cooked with the perfect about of crisp on the outside the fat was like butter and melted under your knife. As if we weren’t ready to roll ourselves to the elevator we couldn’t leave without a slice of the burnt cheesecake which I can confidently say having had it twice now is my favorite cheesecake I’ve ever had. If the food wasn’t amazing enough the service, views, and overall vibe of this place takes you to another place. Nothing like it in Ocean City and is easily our new go to date night location. Already excited to come back with friends and family time and time again! Don’t miss out this is the place to be! Spain Wine Bar is more than just a delicious dinner. It's a memorable experience. The decor is beautiful as are the views. You're surrounded by smiling faces and the service is fantastic. We've been many times and our experiences have been wonderful. I recommend the paella. It's my favorite but order it early so they can make it while you're enjoying tapas and drinks. 10 out of 5 stars. More...
