I have been here twice now. The first time I went-no complaints! It was perfect. The food and service was great. The second time I went-shrug shoulders. It was ok. If I had not had the first experience I would not come back based on my second visit. I ordered the fried green tomatoes both times and both times they were consistent. They are excellent. I highly suggest them. They are the best ever and one of the reasons why I will go back. I would go back just for them-they are that good! The first time I went I got the short rib dinner. It was very good. The grits, the greens, everything. I came back and ordered just a side of the greens and the grits. This time the greens were a disappointment. They were way too vinegary and not as appetizing. My children ordered the steak and it was tough and over cooked. My older son ordered the Cobb salad and it was just ok. He loved the deviled egg in it and wished there was one more. The service was lack luster. We felt as though we were an afterthought. We found ourselves looking for or waiting on our server throughout the evening. I am a single mom and I chose to bring my children here for a night out. I must say that I am a bit disappointed in the money I spent for the food/service we got. I will go back even if the only thing I order turns out to be the fried green tomatoes. More...

The food was excellent. As a native Atlantan, I can appreciate upscale Southern cuisine everything I tried (6 dishes in all) was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and presented. You can tell the chef is tasting his sauces before they are sold - from the salt, to the acid, etc The poutine was excellent, and better than any I have tasted, even in French-Canadian restaurants in Manchester, NH. We tried multiple appetizers, and the fried green tomatoes stood out, and the short rib on the poutine was perfect. We had the hogfish as one entree, and the baby back ribs. The fried mashed potatoes were a treat as a side with the fish, and the roasted sprouts were phenomenal as well with the ribs. The ribs were perfectly smoked, and the sauce was a delightfully tangy, spicy/sweet blackberry. Finished with the banana pudding. Off the chain. Have a new favorite restaurant. More...
