No matter what I say or words I piece together, none of it will do Kathleen justice, unless you experience her for yourself on your big day. May of 2016, I (unknowingly) witness her coordinate a (flawless) wedding of a close friend of mine. Fast forward 6 months, and my fiance (now husband) was a groomsman in our best-friends wedding, of which Kathleen played a huge role in coordinating too. Every meeting, every phone call, every text and everything in between she managed to just lift the weight right off my shoulders. I planned my entire wedding (solo) - I genuinely wish I had hire kathleen sooner in the process instead of just my day of. Between my rehearsal and wedding day, I truly had no idea if anything went wrong because of Kathleen. She calmed my nerves, made sure I ate, got me a drink when I needed it, and (God bless her) dealt with our fun bridal party! Again, I could go on forever about how incredible she was. It was the greatest blessing and hands down the best money spent on our day. Shes sweet, kind, funny, reassuring and made my wedding day flawless (as far as I know). Kathleen, with Southern Romance Events, is always a pleasure to work with. As a photographer, I thoroughly enjoy when I know that she is the wedding planner/coordinator. She makes sure everything is on time and happening exactly as it should be. As far as decor, she makes sure that she has everything looking perfect for the bride and groom. Brides Account: Kathleen has now helped plan/coordinate my sister's wedding as well as mine. She is extraordinary at what she does. One of my greatest worries as a bride was feeling overwhelmed and not having enough help. Let's face it, Pinterest helps with ideas but it does not equip you with following through. Kathleen inspired such a peace within me throughout the entire process. She is a straight-forward and honest leader, one who you can trust to "get it done", but she also has such a gracious and humble approach which allows you the opportunity to actually trust her advice, her character and true passion for what she does. I would recommend her to anyone!

Grooms Account: As a groom, one of my greatest worries was that my now wife would be unable to enjoy our wedding because of all the stress regarding planning, day of coordination, etc. On top of that, I was unsure about how a coordinator could handle the mixture of culture, language and personalities. My family is Colombian and Tara's is American. Kathleen gave us peace with both of those situations. She helped Tara throughout the process with grace and descisiceness and she was amazing with both of our families the day of. She kept things on track and she made every effort to care for everybody. As a practical male, having Kathleen was the best money spent within our wedding budget. She made our day worth remembering.

I can't say how blessed we were to have Kathleen help plan my proposal. I was very nervous about how to set things up to make the day go perfect. Kathleen was there for me every step of the way. She even took a day and drove out to Saint Pete to get a visual on the location I planned on proposing at. When we got there, Kathleen handled every question and possibility that came up and even created a "plan b" in case of rain. From speaking with management, reserving cabanas, getting champagne in order and not to mention the perfect proposal placement, decor, and photo ops! Kathleen was my rock on my wedding day. To summarize this long winded review- she was amazing and you should book her if you're looking for a planner who is intelligent, assertive, and will get things done. She was so friendly and was full of advice and questions that I never thought of. Planning a destination wedding was a tremendous endeavor and upon first meeting Kathleen, I knew she was amazing. She gave us so many helpful tips when we got started- things I never considered and am so happy she gave me great advice as well as vendor recommendations. She was very attentive and listened to all my concerns, and worked with me to make my dream beach wedding come true. The threat of rain for my beach wedding became a huge concern in the few days leading up to the wedding and she took crazy charge, made a bunch of phone calls and quickly found a solution to the problem even before I had a chance to freak out about the weather. On the day of the wedding, she was timely, efficient, and crazy good at what she does. I got to sit back and relax and had full confidence in her ability to take care of business.
