Small business that makes sure every meal prepared is made with the same care as if I was serving to my family for a Sunday dinner.
Made with fresh ingredients everytime.

What a spectacular piece of heaven! I went here early on Thanksgiving morning with my dog for a 3-hour hike. It was my first time here, and I am still amazed at the beauty of this park. The various trails are marked well (which is a plus when you are hiking alone). There are trails for everyone, as some are easy and some are more difficult. I especially enjoyed the 5K trail. The spectacular views left me with a peaceful, easy feeling. Who knew heaven was only an hour away from home?! I can't wait to go back!!! More...

This was my first time at Sky Meadows State Park. For an entrance fee of only $7, this is a great alternative to Shenandoah (entrance fee of $30). I had only went on the Piedmont Overlook Trail (.61 mi), but it was such a beautiful scene. Note: although this trail is listed as moderate, this is straight uphill the whole time. Thankfully, there are some "stops" along the way with benches in case you need to rest. The park has public restrooms, and a gift shop for those that are looking to grab something for themselves or family. The park is also pet friendly (I wish I knew!) and there were plenty of hikers with their furry friends with them. I'll definitely be back, and next time, bring the pups along the way. More...

This is a beautiful place like a painting. People are just as beautiful and pleasing as walking in the painting! And everything here is very quiet. Not many places are big. I don't worry about the crowding of photos at all, and I am fortunate to have eaten the last Thanksgiving dinner this year! And there is a scenario simulation before the Civil War, the performers of the melodrama are very enthusiastic and dedicated! This is a place worth visiting in the fall! In other areas of the park, you can camp and ride horses. But now the temperature in the fall is very low, so give up, riding is very interesting! You can stay on horseback for 2 hours. Of course you must have a horse first. More...

Good hikes and during middle of summer the berries are plentiful, though the heat and humidity can be dreadful. Ticks are a problem especially in the tall grass. Beware the cow patties.

I love this place. It has something to offer for everyone. Take it easy with any number of trails that are easy to access from the parking lot. You can also simply take in the beautiful views from the visitor center. Go on a longer hike if you want a medium-size adventure. Or take a full day out-and-back hike on the Appalachian Trail, which passes through the park. Runners may enjoy the 5k course that is well marked and has varied and challenging terrain. There are lots of educational facilities and activities, too, for those who are curious. Rangers arrange activities to teach you about the environment. And volunteers may be doing craft stations for the creative. There is some farming, too. I bring quarters to buy feed from a dispenser to feed to hens that run around the farm area. It's hilarious and fun! There are probably many more activities I am not aware of. More...
