My son loves apple pie and I wanted him to have the best around for a special birthday celebration. After reading the reviews on Southern Baked, I called and ordered for same day pickup. The staff was just as friendly on the phone as they were in person. And the pie? Absolutely the best apple pie I've ever tasted. It looked like the pie you wish that your grandmother made. The crust was buttery and flaky, not chewy or greasy. The filling was piled high with thin sliced apples that were cooked to tender perfection--neither mushy nor firm.
