Southern Accent catering

Terri and Tyler are great to work with! Not only was the food amazing but we were on a tight budget and they were able to give us several options for us to chose from that worked within our budget.

Southern Accent, owned by local Lawrencians (support local!), catered our wedding and we had a wonderful experience. I worked with Terri and Tyler (owners) in setting up the menu. We live in Arizona but married in Kansas, so suffice it to say we were nervous about hiring a caterer without a tasting but we weren't disappointed. Southern Accent can provide China rentals, servers for bussing (we had a buffet but if you're doing a sit down dinner, I believe they can accommodate), cake service, plus appetizers and of course great food. We had two entrees as I am a vegetarian and it was not outrageously expensive. No complaints from any of our guests and many went back for seconds. Food was absolutely wiped out. I definitely recommend them for any of your LFK events! They do more than just weddings too. Corporate events, smaller receptions - anything you need food for, they can do it. Terri, her husband, and their entire crew are very professional, but also very down to earth and a joy to work with. They prepared, set up and served hors d'oeuvres and full buffet meal, and even served the wedding cake and cupcakes. Their staff set up and dismantled everything without our even being fully aware. They were very attentive to our guests as well. The highlight, in addition to the Caribbean chicken, was a palm tree made from pineapples, palm leaves and even kiwis to represent the coconuts. Terri and her husband were amazing. Our food was wonderful and their service was above and beyond. They stayed the entire time and re-stocked the food and made sure everything continued to look wonderful. They even helped cut the cake!
