After 20 years of law enforcement, I’m on to the next chapter. I have a masters degree from Hamline University in public administration. I recently graduated from Catch Canine Academy with a diploma in core dog training skills. I have over 200 volunteer hours with a local shelter where I have had the experience to work with all breeds, temperaments and behaviors.

Sandy came here not knowing the history of our new puppy that was quickly transitioning into a full grown dog. We have had dogs our whole lives and this new one was proving very challenging for us. Instead of coming here and telling us what to do right away she wanted to know why we called her and what was going on. She listened to what we were saying and proposed options that she could try that could work for our situation. Sandy took a very personal interest in being able help correct and improve our situation. Sandy proved our dog was at least pretty smart teaching him to do most basic things in just a couple visits here which have stuck with him and us. Our Romeo gets very anxious in the car and the boat. We had Sandy take him with us on the boat and she was able to keep him calm and relaxed for the entire boat ride which was great to see. Sandy was great! With about a million times more patience than my husband and myself Sandy handled our new puppy Grim like a dream and taught him all sorts of commands that made him so much more manageable.
She also offered us a lot of great advice on how to handle behaviors of our dog's that we were having trouble with when she was not around. My dog loved Sandy so much he was always absolutely giddy to see her and always sad to see her go.
Really, I said it already but I'll say it again, you can't go wrong here! Your dogs will love Sandy and you'll love how much better you can handle your dog afterward. My husband and I definitely did!

I adopted a young female Doberman that, sweet as she is, is also an untrained wild girl. She needs general obedience plus major safe cat training. We really enjoy training sessions with Sandy. Our Olive is her smallest client and she puts in so much fun and effort into Olive’s sessions.
Sandy is very friendly and welcoming. Really upbeat personality. She also doesn’t mind multiple people attending(watching) her train our pup.
We have only had 2 sessions so far but we feel very comfortable with her.

Sandra did wonders with our puppy from simple commands to working on "puppy patience," which required the dog to wait a period of time for the next command. She took us outside to work with the puppy showing us things to do to keep our dog more focused in an outdoor environment. My wife and I found Sandra very friendly, helpful and accomodating with our many dog training questions. She's a true professional. We're having her come back every three weeks to see how our dog is progressing and to continue training. Our dog warmed up to her early on in training and vice versa. What were we waiting for?!! As long time dog owners, we let our dogs get away with behaviors that took the joy away of having them. We heard about Sandy through a friend and thought maybe she can help bring the joy back. Sandy definitely checked that box for us. In our Initial communication she asked us to prioritize the behaviors we wanted to change. Sandy came to our house and immediately made and nurtured connections with our dogs. With that, she immediately went into training mode on the first behavior. To our surprise, the dogs were on point right away. Now the real challenge for Sandy, training the dog owners! She set a great example, and then she encouraged us to go through the training exercise she just showed us to confirm we could do it correctly. Sandy was patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging throughout the session. Reinforcing the wanted behavior in the dogs, and doing the same thing with us! I’ve always been passionate about dogs and after leaving law enforcement after twenty years, this seemed like the natural next step.
Why should our clients choose you?
I provide a 30 min complimentary maintenance session once a year for the life of the dog. That shows my commitment to the quality of my work and to the dog/owner.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Vaccinated and have the booster. Will wear a mask at request of the homeowner.

$800 first week $700 any additional weeks. basic obedience-no jumping, bite inhibition, boundaries, sit, stay, down, leave it etc.
Board & train -resource guarding
$2000 for resource guarding board & train minimum 3 weeks
Adoption-discount board & train
$700 per week per dog for board & train
Dog aggression Board & train
Minimum 4 weeks $2100 total
Human aggression board & train
$4200 minimum 6 weeks
