Aditi is simply amazing!!!! This was my third time trying to successfully breastfeed after two previous failed attempts. I can’t say enough how amazing Aditi is!! I had a lot of difficulties after my son was born with feeding, through mutual friends I was introduced to her and she came over and educated me on feeding and showed me techniques that would be comfortable for me and my baby. And after a few weeks he was able to gain his weight back and is now feeding a lot better. If it wasn’t for her and her encouragement and education I would probably be feeding my son formula which was something I did not want to do and thanks to her I don’t have to at all! I thought that I had breast feeding down since I'd already successfully fed my two older children. I didn't expect to have such a difficult time when my third baby came. The lactation consultant at the hospital only helped for about two minutes after I'd waited to see her for several hours. Needless to say a week later I was extremely sore & at a loss for what to do to get my baby to latch properly. Aditi came to my house & offered several tips I hadn't thought of to improve baby's latch & relieve my soreness. She stayed through a full feeding & even a little after to observe & offer suggestions and support. It was so nice to feel like I had a caretaker when I was feeling so desperate. No one ever told me how hard breastfeeding would be! It made me feel sad and inadequate as a mother! Wasn’t this supposed to come so naturally? Well, it didn’t for me. With both of my children I struggled with so many uncertainties... things like, “is it supposed to hurt this much?” “am I making enough?” “is my diet making baby uncomfortable and gassy?” there were so many times that I just wanted to throw in the towel and completely give up on my breastfeeding goals. I was told at my son’s 6month checkup to supplement using formula. I felt a little unsettled about this so decided to find a lactation consultant to hear her thoughts. I found Aditi! She had amazing feedback, and support. She gave me some personal adjustments and goals. I loved hearing her insights! She has definitely done her research and understands breastfeeding very well. I felt secure in knowing she had my baby’s best interest. I was reminded that if I needed to supplement, there are other options besides formula. I can turn to my milk stash or use donated milk. Aditi is amazing to work with and extremely helpful with the breastfeeding experience! I took the prenatal breastfeeding class she taught which was very helpful and helped me feel more prepared for the breastfeeding journey. I am a first time mom and didn’t know if I was doing things correctly. I recently had my 1st baby girl after having 3 boys. I thought my breastfeeding experience was going to be the same, but I guess it wasn't lol my 2 week old baby started to vomit a lot after being breast feed and will not burp. I came here for advice and help with breastfeeding. Very encouraging and positive. I was struggling more than I should have been when my baby was 3-4 weeks old, and coming here changed our world. I was struggling and in so much pain the first couple days (first baby) and Aditi made it a priority to come see me, she helped SO much and gave me the confidence to keep going and be able to breastfeed. I highly recommend Sound Start! Aditi in St. George Utah is amazing! I just had my second child A month ago. I highly recommend even as a second time mom to re-educate yourself by taking her class again. It had only been a couple years since I had my first and when my second came I still had questions or things that I had forgotten! Aditi made a hospital visit and a home visit with my second one. She is absolutely amazing and always makes me feel so comfortable. She is so easy to talk to you about any problem! I would highly recommend Aditi to anyone wanting to have a successful breastfeeding experience. I breastfed my oldest for a year and my twins for 3 months, so when my fourth came along I assumed I would have it all figured out. However, she really struggled to latch well and was sleepy because of jaundice so I got engorged and was miserable. Aditi was so amazing! Being a new mom, I can honestly say that exclusively breastfeeding is hands down the hardest thing I've ever done. A pediatrician sent me home with formula after a 15 minute appointment to feed my 3 week old son because "he wasn't gaining weight fast enough". I left feeling heartbroken and like I wasn't doing the right thing for my baby. Aditi reassured me that I was doing all the right things and was able to point out a lip and tongue tie that is preventing our LO from being able to breastfeed efficiently and is causing slower than average weight gain. She was able to recommend us to a dentist to perform a lip and tongue tie revision to help! Overall, in addition to so many wonderful tips and recommendations, she made me feel like a good mom that was doing all the right things which is exactly opposite of what the pediatrician made me feel. Aditi is amazing! She has helped me with both my babies. She’s helped me wean off the nipple shield both times and is so kind and supportive of whatever your nursing goal is. I loved working with Sound Start Lactation, Aditi was always available to answer my questions. My new born had a hard time latching on. At our first visit she let me know that my little guy was tongue and lip tide. After getting that fixed he didn’t have any problems at all. We had a couple more visits to make sure he was latching on properly and to answer any questions I had. Aditi is amazing! First time mom here. My baby girl wasn't getting a good latch and tearing up my nipples. I scheduled an appointment with Aditi and she was able to come out the very next day, to my home (I was so happy that was an option - because what mom wants to go anywhere with a newborn right after giving birth? )! She told me my baby has a lip tie and referred me to Dr. Chase Williams for a revision. Her lip tie was rated a stage 4 (stages are 1-4) and her pediatrician told us she didn't even have one! After the revision, she has been latching and feeding great! Breastfeeding is now a whole new experience. Very happy with our results and so grateful for the help of Aditi.
