A true authentic French “boulangerie” , unlike many “french style” bakeries you see popping up everywhere in Bergen County. Visited sook as it was part of the 10 best bakeries in NJ. Ordered a few things, a crepe filled with prosciutto, pesto, goat cheese and mushroom while my girl had the chicken with buffalo sauce and mozzarella crepe. For pastries, got the "ridgewood" which is a choco mousse cake and "godwin" which is a hazelnut cake and cappucino for me, mochachino for her.To cut to the chase, you come here for their baked goods, as both were excellent. Godwin quality is high as it is smooth, not too sweet and had a good bite to the cake itself. It's not so airy that you just bite fluff with no mass. It's the opposite of it while being soft and moist. Could use a bit more hazelnut flavor. Ridgewood is soft and airy like how a mousse should be and also, just the right amount of sweetness. You get to the cake part and it has a bite and balanced out with the mousse effect.Overall, the place is pricey, coffee is average but baked goods are what they are known for. If it was closer to me, I would visit a bit more often. If you're around the ridgewood NJ area, check it out. More...

A little taste of France in Bergen County, NJ. I moved in the Ridgewood area about 4 years ago, and this is my place to go when i m home sick ( i m French). The croissants, chocolate croissants and brioche are delicious, cakes are very tasty too. Recently they starting proposing bread as well.
