I go to Sonny's Barbeque on Tyvola often,on December 7th,the chicken was extra fresh tasty and next Day excellent. I haven't had chicken that fresh, I can't remember how long it's been. But while sitting in the parking lot waiting for my order. I noticed there was a bus load of white people getting getting back on their bus which was parked further from their Sonny's parking lot. So I assumed they had this chicken ready for this group of people, and I got lucky leftovers... but I'm trying to understand why was this chicken extra fresh and so delicious and tasty, compared to the other days that I have gone to the same restaurant and did not get that same effect? Hubby wanted Ribs so we decided on this place and it's a gem. It has a nice quiet atmosphere that we really enjoyed, our server was nice and pleasant which is a plus. The food was great only complaint was that my St Louis style ribs had a lot of fat on them and the ran out of chocolate chip cookies. We were in the mood for ribs so of course we went to Sonny's since we always enjoy their ribs. Two of us had baby back ribs and I decided to try the ribs & smoked chicken wings - it was delicious! The ribs were perfectly flavored and fell off the bones and the wings had just the right amount of smokiness to them. I really enjoyed them. To top it all off our server Edgar was the best! He was super friendly and had such a great, positive attitude. We couldn't have asked for better service. This is definitely my favorite Sonny's in the area. More...

Everything we ate was amazing!! The hillbilly egg rolls were so full of flavor and texture!!! The cheese, pulled pork and coleslaw mixture was dynamite. The dipping sauce that accompanied them was tasty too. The ribs were seasoned well and tender. The baked beans were also tasty. Great food, seasoned and made well! Fried Okra!!! AMAZING!!!! The food is always delicious at Sonny's but Greg, the person who helped us with our takeout order gave us the perfect amount of southern hospitality and took his time waiting for us to decide what to order. We returned about an hour later to pick up our order and Greg showed us each of our orders and recited them back to make sure we had everything we needed. He gave great service and for that I'd definatly go back. More...

What an unexpected surprise. The hospitality was great and the food was absolutely phenomenal. I would give them a 10 . I always love Sonny's for the food. But yesterday, my waitress, Kelsey in the Warner Robins restaurant truly made my night. I was in the midst of an emotional breakdown most of the day yesterday and felt so bad for crying at the table soon after being seated. Kelsey assured me it was not an inconvenience for her. She went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and to check on me throughout my time at the restaurant. She even offered to sit with me so I wouldn't feel so bad about crying in public. Her genuine kindness actually made me feel better for a few moments. I shared this with her manager before leaving and the manager was so kind as well. I don't think Kelsey realized how impactful her kindness was to me at one of my lowest points. Thank you, Kelsey!!! More...
